Review: Tiffany at Las Vegas, 4/23/93 http://www.tiffany.org/music/perform/lv1993/ WARNING- some cover songs may not be suitable for listening!!!
Pearl Jam-"Where can my baby be" I think that's the name of that oldies song. Anyway, Pearl Jam's version was terrible and sounded like they were desperate for something to be played on the radio.
OMG ANDY!!! You have got to be kidding me! That song was awesome...one of the better cover songs, even though I've never heard the original . Seriously though, I think I might go download it, thanks for the reminder.
How this thread has gone this long with William Shatner's version of Mr Tambourine Man being mentioned is beyond my understanding. Words cannot express the horror and revulsion that any sane being will express upon hearing said "song". Shatner's cover of Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds also must be heard to be believed... Both are found on this site. [spooky music]Enter if you dare...[/spooky music]
the dixie chicks version of landslide and the opposite end of the spectrum, smashing pumpkins version was one of the best cover songs ever--better than the original
Well that was disturbing, i should have listened to your warning. However, I still think that that Avril Lavigne song is even more painful to listen to. I am suprised it didnt make my ears bleed.
Go back to predicting NostradamusWasSnubbed, music evaluation doesn't suit you. That song was terrible, but so is everything else Pearl Jam does. Here's a prediction of their next albumn: 1. "Feel sorry for me" 2. "Make my fans depressed as I sing" 3. "My voice makes you sad" 4. "If you want variety try Eminem" 5. "Haven't changed in 10 years" 6. "Music never made us happy" 7. "This is the Dark Age" 8. "Never ever gonna pick you up" 9. "Worst song for depression" 10. "Don't try to labor to this" 11. "Buy it anyway" 12. "Life sucks, then you die" 13. "Have a terrible day"
lol! I never said I liked Pearl Jam. I like "Jeremy's Spoken" and "Last Kiss" and maybe one or two more of their songs.
That reminds me also. My most favorite female artist Tori Amos has this cd out which covers various songs from various artist. Usually about women and stuff. You know how them chick rockers are. Man, I swear, first of all, what the **** am i doing listening to chick music? Second of all, she absolutely butchers some songs. On that CD, she covers Eminem, and Depeche Mode. Enjoy the Silence was horrific. 97' Bonnie and Clyde, oh my god, that is... I don't know. Just, terrible. Crucify my ears or something.
i liked it. at least it's totally different from the original. My favorite Tori cover: The Cure's "Lovesong".
Well, I guess it's a matter of personal taste because I really liked Pearl Jam's Last Kiss as someone slammed a few posts up.
Uhhhh Worst Cover ever has to be Sheryl Crow's "Sweet child of mine". Hey Sheryl! Way to hit the male high notes, you worthless w****! (just my opinion)
Ditto. I thought it was a great cover song. I even purchased the CD single when it was first released.
What y'all wanna do? Wanna be hackers? Code crackers? Slackers Wastin' time with all the chatroom yakkers? 9 to 5, chillin' at Hewlett Packard? Workin' at a desk with a dumb little placard? One of my favorite Weird Al songs.
I bet you're still living in your parents' cellar Downloading pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar And posting "me too" like some brain-dead AOL'er I should do the world a favor and cap you like Old Yeller You're just about as useless as jpeg's to Helen Keller.
How about an intentionally bad cover? Here is Pulltab's version of Queen of my Doublewide Trailer That song always needed to ROCK. What with the lyrics that don't pin it down as a country song and all.
