The worst books i read were Dutch literature so you wouldn't know them. for some reason in dutch literature the main character almost always is a mentally disturbed man, and sex is the most importent aspect of the books. terrible books:the worst book i ever read was: "de avonden" written by gerard reve(but it is in dutch) the worst book i read in english is: passage to india.(not sure who wrote it).
I read so little books, I make damned sure I'm going to like it before I begin reading. However, the worst book I ever read was the Scarlet Letter. On the flip side, I am very much a fan of Dracula/Vampire lore and have started reading The Historian. I definitely recommend it!
