I'll go you one better than "missing WMD's."

Sorry that I have posted this before, but the Bush administration has also been burying the investigation into 9/11...who knew what and when. It is very possible that people in high places knew that a major attack was coming, and it would be airborne, and it wasn't tough to figure out that the Twin Towers were the targets.

Israel was one of the countries that provided information about the impending attacks. But it was all swept under the rug.

Do a Google search for "Rebuilding America's Defenses." It is a long document written by Paul Wolfowitz and other neo-cons, written in the early 90's mind you, which basically spells out intentions of the neo-cons (they don't use the words, but I will: world empire). In that document, which pushes for pre-emptive military strikes against "threats before they can become dire," it is mentioned that it will be difficult for the policies to come to fruition unless there is some large event akin to Pearl Harbor, which might change public/world opinion. And I re-state: all of this was written well before 9/11. A decidedly Pearl Harbor event.

So if you ignore Israeli intelligence (you can bet they won't say anything against GWB now); if you launch no aircraft to intercept airliners deviating from their flight plans, as doctrine requires....

I wonder how the media will react to this. They've been very kissy-kissy with GWB. War interests are money for the corporations that own the media. Notice how Cheney's unbelievable crimes committed at Halliburton are practically never mentioned; yet Clinton's $350,000 Whitewater deal made 8 years' worth of stories.

When we finally "find" the WMDs that we'll have to plant, isn't it convenient that the only inspectors who will be allowed to see it are the British (Blair = 2nd Biggest Liar) and the Australians (we kissed A; will you invite us to Crawford ranch? yeah? good on yer, mate!)

To say that there were never any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq would mean...

    a. Bill Clinton (and all the senators that signed a letter supporting him) lied about them in 1998.

    b. Great Britain, Australia, Spain, Poland and all the other countries that stood with us were lying too.

    c. The ENTIRE UN Security Council was lying in resolution 1441 which put the burden ENTIRELY and SOLELY on Saddam to prove he didn't have these weapons.

    d. That Saddam used what? Ummm Swamp Gas? to kill all those Kurds and Iranians back in the 80s?

    e. You would believe Saddam Hussein, who has managed to kill more Muslims than anyone else in history over the President of the United States.

MasterIce, you are 100% correct in your assessment of the situation. Sadly, there exists a small minority of lunatic fringe extremists, who, in between tokes on their peace pipe, repeat the same old, tired, platitudes such as "It's all about the oil" or "Bush is a liar". When this group isn't hanging out with their other granola, folk music loving friends, or braiding their girlfriend's armpit hair, they typically like to spend their time causing gridlock on our city streets and wasting precious law enforcement resources on their selfishness. After a nice hearty salad buffett (meat = off limits), they take a walk in their Birkenstocks over to the nearest coffee house where they listen to eclectic Indian/Jazz fusion music and tell everyone who will listen how smart they are because they've read the latest Paul Krugman 'economic' analysis. Then these people get back into their art car and go home to feed their cats.

If you bothered to look at my join date it says Jun 2002, which is actually wrong because I've been checking out this site much longer than that.
