camby is an empty shell of a player, everywhere he goes losing follows.

He may not be the best offensive player, but I don't think he deserves that kind of hate. The man did his best impression of Dikembe Mutombo in his Denver tenure.

is it a coincidence he left and their defense improved dramatically?
    all stats, no substance

I'm sure the signing of Chris Andersen didn't have anything to do with it.

Are Lowry and Camby expiring. There is only 30 games left and Lowry is weeks from returning and the Ariza experiment couldn't have gone worse. I may have bitten, and lowry might be my favorite rocket. If there was an understanding that Lowry would come back next season ala Stackhouse with a closed mouth, Id do it in a heartbeat. That's assuming Camby is an Expiring.

I'd sooner give away Brooks than Lowry for Camby. Not that I would do either.

Ummm you do know that a guy by the name of Mutumbo was on this team right??
How many times we went after this aging center. I have no idea but he was on this team.

    Worrell and Bullard. Tempering expectations?

Or helping the Rox organization calm down the players before the deadline?

The point is, of course we're not going to give up on Ariza after one year. He may be stinking it up this year, but, he was never brought here to be our #1 guy. You don't give MLE's to your supposed #1 option. The point of Ariza is he could be groomed to be our team's #2-#3 guy. With Yao back next year, it eases up Ariza's burdern. Plus everybody is saying we can flip Shane eventually, well, who do you guys think is going to replace him defensively? Ariza. Like it or not, Ariza is here to stay.

What point? That Camby was a useless player?

No, you have misinterpreted - the Birdman, more than anything, is a much better fit for the Denver offense. He is much more mobile than Camby and thus plays the help defense (and the ever so popular fast break blocks) better. But in terms of general post defense and interior presence, Camby wins hands down.

^ Agreed. I'd be interested to see how much Ariza settles down once the pressure's off him to create and score. Of course, I don't think he's untouchable by any means and I wouldn't hesitate to flip him for a true SG if the chance came up.

Definitely he's not untouchable, but he's definitely not in panic sell mode, like how a third of Clutch fans are with Ariza. Give it time peeps. We gotta see how he fares with Yao first before we really judge him

That's exactly proved the other poster's point. Camby' stats look nice, but his impact is way smaller than birdman.

We needed a starting center... I would've given up a backup pg and a mistaken signing for Camby. Morey, WTH?

Haha, nicely done. I thought the same thing when I read that. You know your returns are hollow when the Birdman can follow your act.

Exactly, he gets so much credit for a defensive player. Yet never are the teams he is the defensive anchor for, strong defensively. He is a great individual defender, not much a team defender.
