Yao doesn't exhibit any emotion on the court? Either tonight is the first game that you have ever watched him played or you don't think before you write. Then you went on to use this moronic observation to make a generalization statement about a whole culture. Are you r****ded?
do we really need all these threads about one bad game? what have you done for me this freaking instant, that's all people care about. yao scores 30 and mcgrady sits on the bench in dallas and mcgrady sucks. yao plays terrible while mcgrady steps up tonight and yao is awful. these same people will shout yao for mvp, 4 months from now when we're approaching 60 wins. can the idiots at least pace themselves, maybe take turns on starting r****ded threads?
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, bench him and have the shortest line-up ever. Plz! Players have bad games. Do you even remember what team we played and what they did to Gasol in the finals. Yeah Yao played like crap, leaving KG and Perkins open throughout the game but he was also in foul trouble early. He soon bounce back in the Portland game.
Com'on man,he's just exhausted and knocked out of rhythm in the first quarter. He'll bounce back the next game baby. Yao's performance determined the direction of the tonight's game, but given that KG and PP performed not that well as well,we couldn't say we're able to contend for the title until all of liabilities have been improved.
Yao's performance tonight was pathetic. He was pushed around and intimidated in the paint by the Boston big men. It seems any time someone plays him physically, he can't seem to handle it. Blowing dunks, layups, rebounds, etc is proof of that.
well, let's see. Name a player in the NBA that shows less emotion than Yao/Yi/Wang/Ba, ever. If you think there are no differences in cultures then you are freaking imbecile.
Unlike you, I didn't really pay attention to how Yi Wang Ba (who is he?) plays. I only watch the Rockets games, sorry. Why have you been paying so much attention to the emotion displayed by these Chinese players? What culture are you from? And everyone who has watched Yao's games in the last 7 years know what you are talking about is simply moronic. Where is the imbecile fellow? He's in your mirror. Go take a look now.
What you're describing is not the same thing you're describing. First, the reason Yao wasn't a "beast" back then wasn't because he shot more jumpers. It was because he was still young and adapting. He hadn't developed many moves back then, from anywhere. Second, Adelman used him not just a shooter but also like passer, mostly a passer. That was the problem Yao had. He's said several times he's comfortable shooting jumpers like he once did, the issue he had with the adelman offense was that he was mostly passing, which isn't a skill of his. what i'm refering to is letting him face up on the block and hitting him with some passes at 10-15 feet so he can catch and shoot. Those are quick opportunities where the defense can't react in time. Adelamn had him holding the ball waiting to either pass or shoot, which was the wrong way to use him becuase he can't pass like Vlade or Webber and he can't pump fake and drive like they could. so all yao could do was stand around and wait, which he hated. And yes, his offensive rebounding would drop. HIS rebounding. That doesn't necessarily mean the team's rebounding would. Like i mentioned before our guards and forwards rebound well on their own and could easily make up the difference. Who cares if Yao's rebounding numbers drop, as long as someone in a rockets' uniformis pulling them down, then everything is fine.
Well, it's pretty obvious now that you have basically admitted you're legally blind. Oblivious to you, the rockets have played against those players multiple times. You're probably so poor you can't even afford a 10' black and white TV. And when the radio mentioned the name Yi, your peasant brain thought it was your farming buddy yelling YI Hawwweeeee. Ride on
and what are the rules here when it comes to posting repetitive threads? There's so many threads on similar subjects and it lowers the quality of each individual thread. why don't mods just lock some of them?
Once again, if you have watched Yao's games in the last 7 years but still think he doesn't display emotion when he plays, either you are dumber than a sack of hammers or you are simply blind. To address your last post, honestly, I have only watched a few of Yi's games. Unlike you, I don't judge a player, let alone a whole culture, based on a couple of games. And even in those games I don't really pay particular attention to Yi anyway. IIRC, he played decently in one game which is the first matchup with Yao early last season. But, I have no idea how emotional he was in that game because, unlike you, I didn't give a damn about it. And what about the other games? Why have you been following his performance and paying that much attention to the emotion that he displayed that much? And what's up with Wang and Ba (once again, who is this guy)?
yao was just tired. and after that missed dunk ofcourse his confidence will go down. the rockets did a great job though. i just miss shane batteir that much now! yao will bounce back.
I'm pretty sure Yao's got more emotion than your YI-hawwwee yelling bed-buddy. But even your bed-buddy will scream once in a while. an occasional flick of the fist is emotion? you're truly an ignorant loser. Emotion is not yelling and screaming, it's physical display. Go ask your bed-buddy to demonstrate that for you.
