Ignorant question: So is manually deleting the file the only option? No way to automate via a powershell script ?
I looked around and it might be possible to run Power Shell in Safe Mode (Windows 10), but there are some steps involved to getting the computer to do it. So probably not much in the way of being faster than going into Safe Mode and navigating to get to the File causing problems. Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. If a problem doesn't happen in safe mode, this means that default settings and basic device drivers aren't causing the issue.
That thread makes it easy to say Zach doesn’t debug much. Saying “stack trace dump” was the first tell. (We don’t talk that way.) And that lesson on C++ was pedestrian and not entirely accurate. His first tweet about a NULL pointer is wrong. (I’ve run my own test, and you can see the CS programmer checking for NULL.) And then when he Quote Tweets his null pointer claim, he contradicts himself. He might be somewhat of a programmer, but geeks doing engagement hunting with “I’m a professional C++ programmer” is cringe to me. And Zach should have left C++ alone, or I probably would have not bothered.
Well, I’m not really saying that much, other than it annoyed me he went engagement hunting like an amateur detective pushing an agenda, and went viral.
I saw that and immediately thought the dude was full of sh•t and I don't really know anything about C++ or any other programming -- it gives off GPT 'research' vibes. His post reminded me of some of our Clutchfans members who constantly make authoritative predictions then when one hits they quote themselves months/ years later... I told y'all player X was the best!
