Sure, fair point. However, I'd be paying for something that won't be outdated (considering I could always upgrade by getting a new SD/MMC and using it for other devices as well like a camera, cell phone, PDA, or many other devices). Plus I am really interested in the extra features like the radio, voice recorder, and 128MB built in flash drive. I could have all that and more with something like a PDA, but it's the compactness that is appealing.
