Not to let them choose who leads us. I mean seriously, their interests are going to be different than ours on many levels, and that's a good thing. We don't just choose who we think they will like the best. That's not good statesmanship. On the other end, you don't do things to purposely piss them off if your not in a dispute with them either.
Come now, Batman. This is over the top even for you. This proposed action violates every known principle of our freedom -- and strikes at the very core of the liberty you love. Should we just abandon elections altogether and appoint our politicians? Oh, wait. Who appoints and annoints them? Our fawning, boot-licking media? This is more bizarre than anything and everything that you have ever railed against. You're one of my favorite posters, Batman. You know that. But this violates your principles.
