So what, I'm sure there is some cover up going on in 9/11 (otherwise they wouldn't try to stop the investigation) but I have yet to believe there is a full blown conspiracy yet. slick is entitled to his opinion. I've heard crazier things around here, such as those who think that we went into Iraq for humanitarian reasons. And that the president never lied.
Exactly what type of discussion would you expect from this? The things on there are so absurdly stupid that anybody with common sense would know they aren't true and therefore warrents no discussion.
You know, I didn't give any of the conspiracy theories surrounding 9-11 any real thought until it became proven the our government lied to get us into a war, it is spying on us illegally, it is holding people without a trial, it supports the need to use torture and it calls anyone who disagrees with it unpatriotic. Now I look at the conspiracy theories and go, I wonder if any one piece is true. There are some interesting points that are raised. Some are on the preposterous side, but others do raise some valid questions. It is always wise to keep a little doubt in your mind. I bet Charlie Sheen would like the slide show.
WTF? P.S.: You said DEEP's father passed away or something like that. I heard that one of the OCP members' brother torched their house that ended up killing both parents or something like that? I don't know who it was, but that's what she told me. Any truth to this?
What I find most interesting about the subject is Bin Laden himself. He made a quote to a European publication directly after 9/11 stating that he had nothing to do with 9/11 and it was against Islam to kill innocents. Furthermore, in the tape which implicated Bin Laden as stating that he was the one responsible, he is seen writing with his right hand (when in fact the CIA knows he is left handed). Along with this he is seen wearing a gold watch. Gold is something not allowed by their religion. The video is for public display on Pentagon archives. Just something odd about the man the world claims is responsible for the attacks.
I gotta ask... What message board was having a discussion on this link? Are there people who really believe this? I mean, they did it. We did the right thing by going into Afganistan. We totally messed up by going into Iraq. End of story. No rocket science. Do you think this government is that clever and good as to not get caught?
Oh you would be surprised! There are hundreds of millions worldwide who buy into many of these 'conspiracy' theories. In the immediate aftermath of 9/11 (within a few months), there was a French book that sought to 'dispel' the official version of what happened on 9/11, and the European public ate it; the book was a best-seller for quiet some time and had a wide audience.
Yeah and its always seemed odd to me that intellegent aliens capable of intergalactic space travel always seem to abduct people that could have played bit actors in the movie Deliverance.......
I want my time back from the slideshow. Is there a source for that? What about the embassy hotel bombings in Africa?
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,34440,00.html Sept. 16, 2001 Bin Laden has denied any connection to the attacks, though he has praised them. On Sunday, he reiterated his denial in a statement read by Qatar's al-Jazeera satellite television channel. "I stress that I have not carried out this act, which appears to have been carried out by individuals with their own motivation," read the al-Jazeera announcer from the statement. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Ummat Sept. 28, 2001 Daily Ummat is known for doing an interview with Osama bin Laden shortly after the 9/11 attack in which he delared that: "I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle.
What a way for a first reply but this crap just pissed me off to no extent. Not just because I work in the field of demolition but because I lost an aunt in the south tower on that horrible day and I always find this crap as an insult to her memory. For those of you who subscribe to this theory can you answer three basic and simple questions for me. For those who think these buildings were demoed: 1. Why were there absolutely no external explosions from the ground floor up on all four sides of the three buildings? A precise drop generally requires a large amount of exlosive on each floor radiating inward and set of from the outer walls toward the center and going from the bottom to the top of each building. An external explosion would have been evident somewhere if the building had been demoed. 2. How did they get what would have literally tons of bundeled explosives into the buildings undetected in one of the most highly trafficated places on the planet? We are talking truckloads here. 3. How did they hide said explosives from the nearly let's say 200 to 300 thousand people that frequented those three buildings every week. Remember to bring those buildings down precisely there is going to be a multiude of explosives and connecting wiring on every single floor. Are you honestly going to say not one employee or customer to those buildings saw one bundle of high grade TNT anywhere in those buildings at all. Ifyou can give me a rational and believable explanation to each of those question you will make a believer out of me. If not well then go to hell.
