My favorite poker telecast is high stakes poker, have you seen it before? You really get to see how these guys play in that game. Also, the world poker tour regularly shows 2 hour final table coverage and it regularly trumps espn's coverage by a mile. The only thing I really like about espn's coverage is the interviews and background stuff that they do. But at the table espn is way too married to the knockout blow.
Yeah high stakes poker is a really good show. Some sick pots on that show like when Gus Hansen made quads over Daniel Negreanu's full house. I think there was one hand where Tom Dwan got Barry Greenstein to fold Aces and Peter Eastgate to fold trip 2s on the flop. A couple of poker after dark shows have been pretty entertaining too. I haven't caught any WPT shows recently but I remember that the blinds would get so high that they become all in fest quickly.
