Just shows what happens when you condense a team's faults that are pretty obvious over a 162 game season... into a crapshoot of 20 games.

This is probably how the rest of the nation felt watching us in the playoffs last year. (except that we actually did roll over in the world series).

These Tigers are freaken choking. Pudge and Casey are the only ones sacking up at all, the rest look frozen. This sucks!

Yeah but still...we were a team built for the postseason...plus we were without Berkman for much of the first half...plus the Astros team last year beat a much better Cards team (than this year) and a pretty good Atlanta team...without home field.

Nothing about the Cards this year makes me believe they deserve this. That's why this sucks so bad. And now they're about to go up 3-1. WTF?! I really am hating the Cards right now.

I'm still trying to figure out when the real Detroit Tigers will stand up. Right now they are intent on giving the series to STL without a fight. A team that almost had the worst collapse ever and won 83 games all year is one win away from a WS championship in large part due to Tiger blunders.

Tonight you had run number 3 scoring on granderson/rodney errors. And run number 5 never scores if pudge blocks a routine ball in the dirt. Game 3 they let the cards blow it open on zumaya's horrible throw to 3rd base and in game 1 the cards blew it open due to a horrible pickoff attempt by Verlander and inge's wild throw home.

The cards are playing better than detroit, but that is not hard to do when you watch how horribly the Tigers are playing. I like many others expected detroit to roll STL in 5 or less, but right now they wouldn't beat a good college team.

I'm proud of the Cards, some respect for the NL. This only leads to more respect for the Stros. These Cards really remind me of last years Astros in the playoffs. Great pitching, defense and bullpen, just scoring enough to win, scoring any way they can, errors, etc...

Preston Wilson playing very well too. Made some good plays in left field and a big RBI late in the game. Representin' the Stros.

Maybe it's time for the AL to institute the Designated Fielder for their pitchers.

I agree with Buck. Four games, and an error in each game by a Tiger pitcher. Unfreakingbelievable. I cannot believe the Tigers are laying down like this. I never would have thought it in a million years.

What about the outfielders taking terrible angles and falling down an such. You don't see the St.L guys tripping over their feet and bumling regular plays.

Granderson, Polanco and Ordonez, pathetic all series. Monroe has been pathetic in StL.

Somebody need to tell them they are in the World Series and to sac up.

But all hope is not lost. Det is very capable of winning 3 strait if they start playing to win versus playing scared. They need Verlander to be clutch up until their bats awake tonight, find a way to gut out a W.

St.L. does not want to go back to Det at all, then it will all probably fall on Carpenter to win game 7.

The cards don't have to worry about going back to detroit, the tigers are more than happy to give them the series right now. 3 runs for the cards, none earned. Verlander's throw was like deja vu of Zumaya and Inge chimed in before that for good measure.

And the cards show how great they are with Chris Duncan's blunder in RF. This doesn't seem like a WS, it seems like a blooper video.

Wow - Cards are 6 outs away from a World Series Championship.

Gotta give credit to LaRussa and the Cardinals for this. They have just found a way to win and get the job done.

I hope the Cardinals win.I'm a Phills fan and the Phills had a better record then the Cardinals and didn't make the playoffs (not like the Phils should've anyways). It still pisses me off..
