    The Cards were slumping at the end of the regualr season, they are playing like themselves now. Rolen looks ok now, Pujols of course.... they have a ton of fire power in their lineup.

    i'll go ahead and say it, if the cardinals win this thing they'll be one of the sh!ttiest ws champions in history. extremely unimpressed with the playoffs this year.

    Who cares about their lineup... it was their PITCHING that had struggled all year. Were they expecting Anthony Reyes to pitch lights out in game 1? Were they expecting Jeff Weaver to churn out quality starts like they were pieces of cake (whereas in the regular season, he can't shut down the Pirates or Cubs)? Were they expecting Jeff Suppan to be doing his best Oswalt impersonation?

    Even further, their gas-can bullpen has been a strength this post-season. Kinney gets guys out, Flores shuts down lefties, and Wainright has been dominant. Who knew that Isringhausen getting hurt would HELP this team... it has.

    Before last night, their "lineup" hadn't won any games for them... simply doing what it took to win. If they continue to get pitching performances from their "big 3" like they have been... the Cards can win any series against any team.

    That's what makes this so perplexing...Jeff Suppan winning the NLCS MVP?!?! Relying on guys like Weaver and Reyes...and that atrocious bullpen. And now, as if someone flipped a light switch, they're pitching "above" themselves. What the hell is going on?!

    I can't believe the F'n Cards...Backing into the playoffs (when the Stros' had a chance), winning two series, winning the first F'n game... :mad:

    Detriot should bounce back...Maybe its a little rust, but GD, don't let the Cards get confidence...

    Dirt gate? Hell, I didn't see the game, but just the post game stuff with John Cruk...That guys sucks...I hate hearing him, yet, I still watch his fat arse...
