Only game I ever really go into was Diablo. Played every version. Can't wait til the new one comes out. Although, I'll have to buy a new computer to play it since it won't run well on my Macbook.
I quit WoW a while back, it became too much of a grind rather than just fun. The general community seemed to be getting on my nerves as well. I play LOTRO pretty casually now with some XBox Live mixed in.
that was the tipping point for me to stop playing a few years back as well. going into a ventrillo room or any chat room with a bunch of 25+ year old unemployed dudes spraying the word n-gg-r every 2 seconds got old really fast.
the online gaming community is one of the most vile and savage communities there is behind anonymity and fueled by elitism... their actions are unparallel to anything in real life
I play every once in a while. I don't really participate in the communal aspects of the game, though.
Let's see.... Starcraft for a few years Counter Strike / Team Fortress Classic for a few years Diablo 2 for a few years WoW for a few years.... Yeah........
exact same progression for me, except no team fortress but i wanna say that counterstrike and WoW really did a number on me
