WARSAW, Poland -- Former U.S. President Bill Clinton has been hit by an egg thrown by an anti-capitalist protester in the Polish capital. At least one egg hit Clinton on the arm in the Old Town district, but he simply took off his jacket and continued his walk for another 15 minutes. The assailant was wrestled to the ground by Polish and American security personnel. Police have detained a 19-year-old man. Clinton's spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri said: "The president laughed off the matter, saying it was good for young people to be angry about something." About 150 young Poles were protesting outside the hotel where Clinton was giving an address on globalisation to business people. "Globalisation kills our planet" and "Yes to people, no to profit," read placards. The former president is in Warsaw as part of a paid speaking tour of Europe. See full story and pics on CNN
