You replied to a post about an allegation of a certain faction not wanting to fly a flag on independence day, with the assumption it has to do with the political faction in power currently. I do think its silly to boycott patriotism on july 4th because of Trump. But we both agree - blind patriotism leads to very bad outcomes and blind patriotism to political factions rarely has a good outcome.
Conservatives and magatards are so focus on outwardly displaying national pride (flag) that they honestly believe that anyone that behaves differently arent patriots. Meanwhile they wear maga hats made by fking China. Feel like these folks are mistakening patriotism for nationalism. Its akin to the Christians in our country hating on immigrants, being racist as fk, worshipping trump and somehow believe they r good, righteous Christian b/c they actively go to church.
It would be absolutely the right thing to do if king Trump presents the FIFA World Cup trophy to team USA to celebrate our 250 years anniversary. And woke shiitheads, don’t try to kill him again.
I don't remember my folks or grandparents ever flying flags. Of course if some (always female) relative or friend wanted to decorate the 4th of July bbq, nobody ever stopped them. I do however, look at the folded flags that were on my granddad and dad's coffins every time I walk by them.
