"Teachers have easy jobs." "All they do is teach to the test." "Annoy" versus "Irritate." There is a difference. Also (names): -Glenn Beck -Rush Limbaugh -Sarah Palin -Bill O'Really? -Sean Hannity -Oprah
I've never really liked lol or any variation of it. Also, IMO or IMHO...of coarse it's your opinion, that's what you here for, 99% of everything that's written on this site is an opinion.
Sadly, through observation as a teacher in training, I have found that these two statements are true of bad teachers. For me, there are so many things that annoy me... but the one that drives me bonkers is text speak when it's not in a 140 character message. There is no reason why you can't type out the complete word on a message board.
"whatever" - it roughly translates to "i know you just said something, but i'm going to dismiss it entirely. too bad you just wasted your time saying it." "african-american" - when used to describe someone's race. mixing of race, ethnicity and nationality. for example, "he's not black, he's puertorican."
HayesFan....didn't know you were becoming a teacher. If so, it's an excellent career if you are passionate about it every single moment. I agree with you about "bad" teachers, but for the majority of us, we work 70 hours a week with minimal salaries. It's definitely not easy, and it's much more than simply "teaching" a concept or skill. As long as you're not in it for the money, I can't think of a more rewarding job. I wouldn't give up my 5th grade spot for anything. Well...maybe the Rockets winning it all.
People's use of the word "random" is pretty high up on the list if not the first thing on there. Unless we're discussing probabilities, I don't want to hear the word "random" being used, especially if there is nothing random about what you are describing.
Yep! I'll be teaching middle school math! I am halfway through getting my masters in teaching. Thankfully the teaching salaries in Kentucky aren't too bad... not much less than I was making in accounting.
If we were to remove all of these phrases from the BBS there would be nothing left. I hate when people say, "Let's not put the cart before the horse." Hate it because I used to have a boss that said it and I wanted to slap the s**t out of her.
I hate it when my almost 70 year old boss comes up to me at work and says "You are the man now dog!" Ever since he saw me watching that video clip on the internet at work, it has become his catch phrase to me whenever he sees me.
Supper ...to honky for my taste. multiples of one usually followed by of the world EX: Free agency will be hectic for the Knicks as they recruit the LebronS, KobeS, D.WadeS of the world. MOFO there is only one of each!!!!!!
