"beasting it" Along with the other 1000 phrases suburban asian boys say to sound like they are from the "hood." Yo.
Especially annoying, is the insistence of certain posters to use "****" type terms on this bbs. I fail to see the point of this behavior. Do these posters expect to be lauded as "edgy"? Automatically assuming that all caucasian players are "high character guys", "high ___ IQ players" or "good in the locker room" is annoying as well.
"We should have played Tmac" "Aaron Brooks can not play PG" "You are an idiot" "Ariza does not suck..." DD
also I dont like when people misspell last names, especially those very easy to spell Im not telling you to spell wally's last name perfect or other names, but the easy ones come on!
"no" "stop" "not now" "it's 'that' time" "I'm not in the mood" I hate when my gf says that when I'm trying to sexy time it.
"Take back America" "Pork barrel spending" "Drill here, drill now" "Landry has already peaked" "Scola's a better xxxxxxx than Landry" "Get it done, Morey" "It's a development year" "First"
I respectfully disagree...I love when clearly dorky, middle aged people (like me) use this phrase about something bland, like "I'm gonna get my tax return on, bish!"
Kinda hard to count slang. All slang gets annoying after a while, or its annoying from the start. Just comes with the territory, "it is what it is". I used to be the biggest offender of using those pre-harsh criticism setup phrases like "To be honest", "No offense, but"...it doesn't really work that effectively though. That might be an annoying word, "though". Ending every difference in comparison with "though". I'm the biggest offender of that too, though... There's another one, "too". There's plenty misuse of "too" and "to". I to am guilty of that...
"Daryl Morey knows more than you" and "I'm glad you're not running the Rockets" or "I'm glad you're not the GM" or some other derivative. There's no point in having a basketball website or any discussion related to hoops if people are going to respond with those types of phrases.
There/they're/their always annoys me at how often people get it wrong, same with your/you're. Also believe it or not I have 2 reps from people who repped me just for the sake of pointing out I had spelled words wrong. One was for using 'mum' I am Australian so like any English speaking country outside of North America it is correct! I know a bit off topic but annoying none the less. One word I like. Moist
