Is it just me, or are the woot-offs becoming more and more carppy? $430 for a set of knives? Really? Unless I get them from this guy, I'm not interested.
Well, those are pretty good knives, and $430 for a fine set of knives isn't really all that expensive. (Many chefs have single knives that cost $430 easy). However, $430 sets of knives seem beyond the scope of what woot was originally intended to do. I think the days of super killer woot deals are long past, and now its just an average discount type website.
kids.woot has a woot off going on too. Good place to keep an eye out for Christmas stuff. Although righ tnow they are stuck on a time capsule that is merely water resistant and onlyhas a 90 day warranty. You can teach your kids about the past as long as it is less than 3 months in the past.
Woot off today. Although this one has been terrible. Usually there are a few things I might be remotely interested in. So far this one has had nothing but crap, and not the kind of crap you really want to buy from woot.
Gign time - this is the one I like because it pretty much gives you X-Mas gift ideas on a regular basis.
