Can one of you explain this thing to me real quick, so I dont have to go through the whole 27 pages of this thread. Much appreciated.
Woot off is where they keep going with items all through the night and sometimes even through the next day... once an item sells out... another is put up. It's that simple.
basically, every night, woot.com has only one item on sale. if its good enough, it runs out. they do this every night. on tuesday nights they sale a pair of the item. on certain days, they have a woot off, which is where they will continuously sale things and won't move to the next item until it is sold out. the big item deal is the bag of crap, which is one dollar each. you can buy up to three, and it's five dollar shipping. allegedely, people got HDTVs and crap like that. A few posters here have won the bag of crap. Your friend moestavern19 won a bag of crap, and got a pencil bag and backpack if i recall. i also think castor27 won a bag of crap. BOC's used to be the last item during the wootoff.
To further explain... Woot's business model is to put up one item for sale a night an midnight central time. They sell it for either 24 hours or until they sell out. Woot-Offs are typically when they try to either sell items that they did not have enough stock for them to felt it warranted it's own night or to finish selling out their stock on items that did not sell out the original time through.
So, I checked out the woot off. And the first thing i saw was a Monday Night Football remote control, it looks like a football. I thought, who would buy that? But then I realized it could be passed across a room. Pass me the romote please. Only 4.99.

I kind of agree. Shirt.Woot is something I thought was pretty cool. Checked it every night for months. After a while you realize you barely actually buy anything and stop checking.
I have actually started using 1saleaday.com more often. I have purchased a GPS, media player, and HDMI cables within the last month. I'll still stay tuned to woot offs though.
did a couple of years ago. It was great when it worked. Its broken now (some circuit board) and costs more than I paid to fix it. I think thats the story for everyone
