I was about to say that myself. No derogatory names and nothing mean.

    How about "Hangout Dog"??

That's a very special relationship you are beginning. Over the weekend we had to put down my dog. He was a terrier mixed mutt and was 16 years old when he died. :(
I'm gonna miss that crazy mutt.

Thats a terrible name. Too cumbersome to yell all that when the dog is about to do something bad.

Mulder, sorry to hear that. There's almost nothing worse than putting your dog to sleep. You did the right thing, but anyway I know the feeling.

    I'm already attached. I can't imagine 16 years from now. :(

    Down to stems and seeds?

    :D

I named one of my cats Francis. She got her name because she had a wicked crossover when playing with one of her toy balls. I had to give her to a friend because she kept tearing up my carpet. Damn cat couldn't learn not to keep doing it.

    Sounds familiar.....

I adopted a dog about a month ago but all we knew about him was that he had lab in him. the best part is watching what he grows into. We also tried to give him a very scottish name so we named him Angus

Congrats, RM95. A dog is a great companion and one of God's greatest gifts to us. I couldn't imagine what my life would be like without Jake and Rex (my parents' cocker, that I consider as my dog as well).

First day and night have been great. Really chill dog that'll do what you want. If you're lounging watching the game, he'll do the same. If you want to throw him the ball and run around the backyard, he'll do the same. Sitting here at my feet as I feed the addiction. :D

Congrats from me on this too. One of our dogs is a Humane Society mutt and the other came from Citizens for Animal Protection, as did one of the cats.

Shoot, if you want an Astros-themed name, why not something pertinent like:

    Tank
    LOBster
    Kay
or get a 2nd dog & call 'em Punch & Judy

The best dog name I have ever heard is "Steak & Cheese" (that's all one name). It's a great name becasue it is so stupid.
