Yeah, that's also my concern, he is too thin, easily being bullied during contact n losing his position under the rim.
we gonna find that when he play against players like montrezel or AD, esp defend those type.
It might be tough to muscle up for wood, otherwise he should have achieved that in gym already.
    That should be his ceiling.

woods advantage is his speed . Yall already want him to bulk up 15-20 lbs

the FO said the plan is for him to gain core strength and maybe 10 lbs over a few years.

we have to be smart about how we deal with our young 7 footers ( even tho wood is like 25 ) . we have too many centers come in and bulk up too quickly and get back ( DMO and Hartenstein ) or groin ( capela ) injuries.

We have cousins to throw at bigger players and PJ/james too as a change-up .

Woods needs to keep getting better at guarding the perimeter AND the interior.

This isn't hard. Anthony Davis is the standard and the prototype. Wood has a CLEAR blueprint.

Wood is cursed now. :( This is what happens when there aren't any white players on the team.

Should have kept Harty handy to shield the DD curse.

I hope Wood gets more lower-body strength. That strength allows you to move people in the paint.

Wood just needs to shoot more. He kept turning down wide open threes yesterday. Let it fly man.

I hope he isn’t content. I hope he isn’t satisfied. There’s a lot of work to be done on the defensive side of the ball. Teams are taking notice and the Blazers were clamping down on him more in the 4th and OT yesterday. The road to being elite is still long and difficult. Can’t be happy and comfortable.

Yeah and one of his hesitation led to a turnover. Need to be decisive in this league.

I’m more concerned for his pick and roll, help and perimeter defense. Man seems so lost out there. Reminder Casey didn’t play him big minutes before he started at the end of last season when they dealt Drummond. Reports said that Wood’s defensive issues was reason he didn’t get more playing time. Last night He kept giving the guards so much space to operate on the pick action and is often in the wrong position on hemp defense. On the perimeter he needs to face up with the player more and keep those hands active. Instead he backs up too much keeping one arm out. That is easy pickings when a guard sees a defender like this. He needs to bring the same energy and intensity on defense. Once he gets this down he will be elite.

Wood just needs to gain strength, not size. 10-15 lbs. would be good for him if it's just pure strength, but anything that makes him lose mobility would be bad. Yao Ming should have stayed lean and work away from the post, he was already so large he could overpower people on sheer size. That way maybe he could have still been playing in the NBA, like other skilled big men have in the past.

Interesting. He was ahead of his time I suppose. He was a unique player for sure. Way before Jokic, he was a 7 footer that could pass and shoot 3s. Unfortunately JVG forced him to play a grind out low post game instead, which may have both helped and hurt him at the same time.

His touch around the rim is unbelievably good. It could be small sample size but it felt like so far everything he throws near the rim bounces in.

Very skilled around the rim. Will get even better as time goes on and he get even more confident. What a find. Props to Stone.

Just needs to eat a little bit and light weights.

So happy we have him. Need Harden to stay in order to unlock his true potential.

    Shams still making shet up.

Watch how many fools believe this.

Edit: Shams post for 2019 - my bad.

But with all the hit jobs the last few months, can you blame me?
