Yup. Apparently, those who watched it on TV thought Kennedy clearly won the debate. Those who listened on the radio thought Nixon dominated. It was the beginning of the new "media age" of politics.
Yeah, I've read about this too. I would venture to guess that if you looked at all the presidential elections, maybe 75% of the time the more physically appealing candidate won. Sometimes he's more attractive, or sometimes he looks more like a father figure, something along those lines. That's why I think guys like Dennis Kucinich would have little hope even if they could gather enough public focus for their issues.
My sisters and I were at BW3 tonight watching the Rox game and discussing our presidential hopefuls. When Obama came up, everyone of my sisters (there's 6 of us) agreed that they'd SO do him. lol In other words, yes, many women think he is sexxxxy.
I'm going to run for president as the CF.net party candidate. Don't worry about my politics lefties, my only position is repartitioning Oklahoma to include Dallas.
but this doesn't seem to be true for congressional elections. i wonder where looks start mattering. mayoral? gubernatorial?
