Well if you asked my wife, she would tell you that all guys prefer women to have long hair compared to short hair. I do think that not all women can pull off the short hair-do, but the ones that can (sorta like Halle Berry) look absolutely beautiful with short hair. I remember when my wife cut off quite a bit of her hair. When we were first got married and for like 3 months afterward, she had her hair close to her shoulders. Then one day out of the blue, she decided she didn't like fooling with it and cut a lot of it off herself. Needless to say, it took me awhile to get used to it. But as time went on, it did grow on me. She later admitted to me that she had made a mistake in cutting it and is now trying to grow it out.
Interesting points about what "brunette" is... what about those of us with lighter brown hair? Mine is actually so long that it might look conventionally "better" if I had it shorter, but I like it and would be upset if it was chopped off. It's about down to my waist in the back. I make a ponytail really quick if I'm going to be doing anything active, or eating, or going out in the wind.
Funny you mention that. I've always been partial to brunettes, but every girlfriend I've seriously dated has dyed it blonde after a while of dating, mainly because I've said it might look nice. Honestly, it really doesn't matter. Hair color is way down on the list as far as my preferences.
I really don't have a preference. I love that my wife will switch between black, blonde, or brunette depending on what her stylist wants to do. It's hot.
Maybe you should date her stylist? Dude, do you ever get a say so in that particular decision-making process? You should.
I tell her what I think looks good, but she looks damn good all the time, so I'm not complaining. Now her with my hair currently...yeah, she's not too happy.
I love ponytails on women. My ex would occasionally sport one and it always displayed an appearance of innocence, when in fact there was no innocence at all. I might change my opinion on the color, given the ponytail factor.
All things being equal, I would say red, but how often are you going to find several otherwise identical women with various haircolors. Most of the celebs that I consider the most beautiful have brown or black hair.
For me, I prefer either boy-short or past the sholders. A "bob" is ok if done well, but I'm not a big fan of that mid-range mommy 'do.
The twigy - Mia Farrow look is cute. Very few women can pull it off. On the wrong person you end up looking butch or like your under kemotherapy. Speaking of the mommy 'do, why do women cut their hair shorter and shorter as they age? I find that so disgusting and unfeminine.
I'm guessing probably because the gray is more obvious in long hair and older women's hair is frailer so the longer it is the more it is likely to get split ends.
