Someone that offers that kind of reward you assume is well off and might own 3-4 cars. Was it the man's responsibility to know her situation beforehand? He wont give the car back but I'd think he's just as surprised as anyone to know that was her only means of transportation (too bad for her now)

The issue is of the awareness the person was maybe too caught up in emotion and not thought ahead when they made the decision and being good enough to balance things back to fair, more than what actual worth of the reward is considered. I know for sure if Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Howard or Mark Cuban offered the same reward more than half the board would take it without the least bit of compassion. Mainly cuz we know its not gonna hurt them that much as a lady down the road in the 'burbs.

your right, I have been looking at this wrong the whole time. Thats what we need more of in this country, nay, this world. People taking advantage of each other. I know it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

PS I would not have taken the car. I also would not have taken care of a lost dog. I guess I'm a dick.

believe it or not there are lots of ways to make money, loads of it, without taking advantage of people. I know of several average joes, that are millionaires yet did it without having to take advantage of those around them. I know it todays society that may seem like a rarity, but I would think its pretty normal.

I would have taken the car.

I've taken money before when I found a stray... I had to use it to pay a bill.

You can sell the car, or part it out.. or drive it to work, or even put it in car shows.

I think the point here is that the woman went overboard, but kept her word.

Why call out the guy for taking her up on it? It's fair. It was the advertised "reward."
