Rubio is the worst player on Barca's team. If Kobe can't dominate him then he cannot play in D-League level.

It was a tune-up for Barca. As evidenced by it being the worst game they played in about 3 years. By the fact that they played Rubio in the 4th quarter (when the coach benches him in the 4th of every difficult game).....by them playing injured players (Mickeal) and by them using guys that just joined the team (Perovich).

Barca played at 75% and still beat the Lakers.

There is maybe 2-3 players on Barca that would sniff making the Rockets 12 man team... sorry.

I don't understand how you can argue things that are factual with opinion statements like barca played 75% or their worst game in 3 years. I can say that Navarro and just about everyone else in the Euroleague was not cut out for the NBA even though they tried. Look there is a reason why everyone in Europe is trying to get to the NBA, because it is the best level of competition for basketball. Can you explain the European losses is World competition or the Rockets preseason blowout without Tmac and with Rafer, Mike James, and Steve Francis (even though to me it looked like the inferior team was trying its hardest when the Rockets were at about 75%)?

So Barca played at 75% and beat the Lakers, but they played at 100% and lost 3-1 against Panathinaikos?

And you want to highlight the fact that Barca used an 11 man rotation, but the Lakers used 12 players. I don't understand what your getting at, this was perhaps one of the worst games I've seen the Lakers play over the course of 4 years. Kobe played 25 mins whereas he best player (navarro played 35) and he shot 2-15, what other games does he usually do that? Of course Kobe and the Lakers are gonna say they tried to win, what do you expect them to say? We didn't care, we just wanted to use the preseason as a tuneup like every NBA team does? And to add, Bynum didn't even play.

The Lakers lost to the Timberwolves in the preseason.

The Timberwolves used a 12 man rotation. Kobe played 29 minutes. The Timberwolves used a 12 man rotation.

The Lakers were clearly trying to win a game of basketball that night.

But this obviously proves that the Timberwolves would have swept them in the NBA playoffs.

Sorry, but anyone that thinks the Rockets could beat Barca in a 7 game series, has a very limited knowledge about basic basketball.

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks the rockets much less the lakers would get swept or lose in a 7 game series to barcalona has little to no basketball knowledge at all.

Theres always a point where you read a persons posts and it changes from: someone who just has a different opinion than me, to someone who is either trolling, irrational, or just plain dumb.

I really tried to have patience with this guy, even after the athleticism stuff in the draft forums, but this is straw that broke the camels back:

Numerous forum members here are proving they have extremely limited basketball knowledge.

LOL, the only thing Barcelona could beat the Rockets in is soccer or artificial cattle insemination.

Whenever the truth hurts and strikes a nerve, Rockets marketing 101 media shill "SamFisher" appears to derail the thread with his 10 year old "humor". Verification achieved.

I thought his 10-year-old humor was pretty good. Way more entertaining than you.

Whenever a wellspring of stupid from the Balkan world builds up pressure that would otherwise explode, endangering the lives of whole villages of tax cheats and husbanders...you hit "submit reply", releasing the tension upon us.

Honestly, you shouldn't knock the barnyard thing - I consider it your finest contribution to the BBS, my man.

This reminds me: anyone who thinks Spain would beat USA in soccer doesn't know anything about soccer. We beat them soundly 2-0 in the FIFA Confederations Cup last time we played. We have a one game winning streak, too, just like Barca.

    Bring on June 4th, baby.

So let me get this straight.

Rubio = Extremely overrated and sucks.

    Barca - Starting PG Rubio

    Barca > Rockets

Okay, so maybe it's the amazing play of best shooter in the world Juan Carlos Navarro, or the amazing bench play of Terrence Morris and Boniface N'Dong, or perhaps 2nd rounder Erazem Lorbek and NBA castoff Kosta Perovic who are simply going to destroy us.

And somehow we have "limited knowledge"

As stated earlier, just say MJ would be an average player next to Basketball God Nikos Galis.

Well, I was certain of you being a douchebag before; but you have seriously made your case for stupidity as well. Are you even a Rocket's fan? All of your responses appear at any mention of anything euro-league related. We get it. You watch the euro-league. Have you ever watched euro-league? I would have never guessed. I'm just a stupid Rocket's fan that has inferior knowledge of basketball in comparison to the great OHMMS. What a joke.
