and getting howard would then cost them the #2, gasol, and most likely odom.

Add in a couple more #1s and I believe that is a deal the Magic would consider. Depends on their feelings about Pau.

They have 8 days to get it done.

I thought Bynum would worth more than a #2 pick in this year's weak draft...

Agreed. Bynum has more value than anyone in the draft this year.

Clearly a salary dump by the Lakers, as they're gearing up for the Dwight Howard sweepstakes in '12.

Maybe it's because of our experience with Yao, But I would never trade for a big man with a "if healthy.." clause attached to him. This is a gamble on Minny's part, but Bynum is super young and is worth a lot more than this #2 pick if he can stay healthy.

And I don't think this is a move to trade for Howard, It would make more sense to just throw in Bynum in a package for Dwight, Orlando is going to want a decent big man back for sure if they are going to give up Howard.

WTF? Bynum isn't that good. He's not worth the 2nd pick even if healthy. Lakers get a top 2 pick, and some much needed capspace to add even more depth. LOL what is it with the Lakers, they keep getting gifts out of nowhere. Plus, that top 2 pick could then be traded for DH.

Lakers won't have any cap space even if they dump Bynum and Odom combined. And they had a chance to get Melo for Bynum by deadline early this year and now you think they'll trade for an unproven #2 in a weak draft? Think again.

Bynum is so overrated that it's funny.

Seriously? You don't think Bynum is worth more than Derek Williams? Wow. If the Lakers traded Bynum for #2 without somehow getting Howard, that would knock them down several pegs next season. Bynum IS depth. If they lose him from their rotation and Derek Williams got plugged in, forget it.

I dislike Bynum just like everyone else but let's not let emotion overrule sense. If Pau were traded and Bynum got more touches and minutes, he would be a 20/10 guy IF he stayed healthy. Health is the main concern with him.

What seems to be way overrated here is the value of the #2 pick in this year's draft.

Bynum is worth #2 and maybe the toilet paper i wipe it with.

LA will flip the pick for Howard and somehow get Rubio in the process.

    1. Rubio
    2. Kobe
    3. Odom
    4. Pau
    5. DHoward

Lakers are gonna be dominant AGAIN. F-You Kahn.

If Orlando trades Dwight to the Lakers after what happened with Shaq, they should just fold as a franchise.

If I was the Lakers, I'd already fax in (do they still do that?) my #2 pick and start making room for Dwight Howard.

The Wolves are showing why they've been in the basement of the league for the last 10 years....

I glanced through this thread, but the Bynum for Beasley and number 2 is just idiotic. Almost as idiotic as the Kevin Love and the second pick for Pau. I mean, WTF?!?
