Yeah, i meant to reply to you than I thought i should clarify the other post. I don't mind teague. This game thus far shows how bad Wiggins and KAT are, wwhy is Rose running the offense? If those two played up to their potential this would be a 20 pt wolves lead thus far.
No defense, effort is debatable. Maybe decent player on a not good team is a better explanation. Being a number one option he should not be outplayed by your center.
We have a thread with thoughts of the most overrated players in the league and like you said, KAT came up a few times. I personally think its AD but KAT is right up there. Its so weird for Wiggins and KAT to have all the ability in the world and not be able to piece it together. Frustrating even for me as a non fan. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/most-overrated-player.286820/
Yeah, I feel for you guys, @Juiceman. When your best hope is that someone who is maybe the 30th best player in the league manages to step up and play like a top-10 talent, you're skating on thin ice.
Capela is a very underrated center. His problem is 1. he can be too timid/weak at times and 2. he is still inexperienced when it comes to using his agility and speed against other centers. Man is quick enough to guard G's guards and wings on the perimeter, so he should be taking bigs off the dribble every time.
No disrespect to him. But if KAT if the number one option on a playoff team, he should be getting his against a role player if he's legit.
Hey now... Capela is MORE than a role player. Do you have any idea what the Rockets win rate is when Harden, Capela, and CP3 all play together? You don't get that percentage if Capela is just a role player.
Role player +......but a very important one. I see what the OP is saying. I think playoff nerves got Towns tonight. I expect him to be better next game.
That’s basically why I said rockets in 4. I think you guys are 2 years away from being a real threat to winning it all, which should be exciting as hell. There’s growing pains ahead for both Town and Butler (Wiggings too but he’s just a high quality role player unlike your 2 stars). Houston has routinely displayed why its their year. It is what it is. Minny has a real challenge ahead of them to manage their salary situation, which should make or break their Championship hopes, but Towns + Butler is an absolute golden ticket to relevancy for the better part of a decade. Good times ahead for Minnesota.
The way Capela has been groomed offensively, he's like Harden's right hand to funnel in more points. I get what you mean. There's a size mismatch cc is winning when Kat should win with his potential. It's their first year in the po. The thunder had some growing pains when they finally broke through. Not cool to have another rising power in the West.
I was living there during that time and they were great. Dont forget Sprewell. The company I worked for had Wolves season tickets and it was already understood that the tix came my way whenever the Rockets were in town. Made it out to a couple of playoff games too. Target center was rocking. Fun fact that I'm sure some of you may already know.......right across the street from the Target Center is First Ave, the club used to film Purple Rain. The interior is much smaller than I imagined.
Not sure but he sure has lot of growing up to do as an upcoming superstar. You can't be getting your stats and your team is still a tad above mediocrity.
You are more than welcome to the site. You’ve been nothing but respectful and that is appreciated. Ignore people that get ugly and just talk some ball. People are sleeping a bit on the Wolves. Talented team that plays hard and they’re pretty well coached. No matter how many games this series goes, I expect these games to be tightly contested. Welcome to Clutchfans.
I hate when people claim Minnesota has "3 superstars". Andrew Wiggins is basically the new Rudy Gay. Nothing but empty calories on offense and terrible defense. Towns has the same problem almost every big man has these days. He should dominate when we put anybody but Capela on him, but he doesn't. If he did Minnesota, would make more effort to get him the ball. He's still a great player, but unless he becomes dominant on offense, or improves his defense, I can't call him a superstar. His defense is still a major problem given the importance of centers.
