Because many of them refuse, or literally cannot think logically. Maybe they were born that way or they are brainwashed. Regardless, they resort to name calling, bad mouthing, etc. as their responses to almost everything. Some of them try to respond with some sense, but most just expose their ignorance to reality and call the other 4 or 5 bandwagoners to regurgitate the same idiotic agenda.

In the end, if you aren't in line to suck a fart out of the ass of that idiotic person that goes by AOC, you are labeled a Trump supporter. It's comical most of the time.

Woke people are Jeremy Lin fans
They see him miss an air ball and it’s racism
Some of them believe he was better than harden
These Lin fans are still here
They moved to the d&d, which clearly explains their lack of understanding of Houston and Texas in general
    And basketball

Why most Americans no longer consider themselves environmentalists

    https://thehill.com/opinion/energy-...longer-consider-themselves-environmentalists/

    excerpt:

Coupled with anti-regulatory ideology, environmentalists walked right into the culture wars by shaming users of SUVs, and condemning people that eat meat or wear fur. Ironically, the original environmentalists like Teddy Roosevelt were hunters and anglers advocating conservation so they could fish and hunt. To this day, America’s largest environmental group is the National Wildlife Federation, primarily comprised of people who hunt and fish.

Vegan urban environmentalists focused on climate change and living parsimoniously made no effort to understand the mobility needs of large suburban families with kids’ sports equipment to move around town, nor of rural folks who hunted and froze meat to get through the winter. Instead of seeking common ground from a shared love of nature, some highly visible environmentalists took the sanctimonious high ground of moral superiority.

A baseball team was asked to drop its name, but Macon Bacon stays sizzling

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2023/06/27/macon-bacon-baseball-mascot-controversy/

    excerpt:

On June 1, Herby wrote the letter suggesting that Raphael change the team’s name to “Macon Facon Bacon,” referring to a vegetarian version of the food. She referenced research that found that eating bacon can increase the risk of colorectal, pancreatic and prostate cancers, cardiovascular disease and death.

“Bacon is so popular, and we just don’t hear enough about the risks of certain foods,” Herby told The Post. “What we do is just do our best to change that environment so that it’s easier for people to make those healthy choices.”

On June 6, the committee raised the anti-bacon billboard on Interstate 16, including an image of a skull above a home plate.

This has nothing to do with the environment and on your other post very few environmentalists suggest not eating meat for the environment. There are extremists everywhere.

If this is for helping the environment, it's asinine.

If this is for reducing a workplace health hazard, it's plausible.

NYC should just pay for the scrubbers as a measure of good faith

I don't know where you get your info from, but not eating meat is a core tenet of the environmental movement these days.

NYC has a local air pollution problem. It was one of the biggest consumers of fuel oil for building heat, for example, and a few years back started requiring conversions to cleaner fuels which means switching out old furnaces. I think of this rule as in line with that effort - tackling the many sources of local pollution and requiring users to burn cleaner. Maybe it makes operations incrementally more expensive for pizza shops. Maybe the price of pizza goes up slightly. I doubt many go out of business over it. And I wouldn't feel bad if they did anyway. Makes the city cleaner. If it improves their carbon footprint, that's secondary anyway.

Where do you get it's a core tenet? I see recycle a lot. I see a lot about fuel and electricity. I don't see a lot about meat

That's fair. I guess it is more about its a big issue for environmentalists and its hard to argue with the facts about emissions and land use but it's really hard to get out there and ask people to stop meat as opposed to recycling and being mindful of fuel usage

I hear it all the time, including from the concerned environmentalists in my immediate family.
