@WojYahooNBA As Wiz move to demolish roster, front office is seriously exploring a deal for T-Mac's expiring deal, sources say. Butler likely bait.
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63756/20100101/arenas_crittenton_pull_guns_in_dispute/ Arenas, Crittenton Pull Guns In Dispute. Washington is sinking so fast.
Butler hasn't played well all season and do we really need another 3? Would rather have Iguodala if possible but that might be out of the question. We need a legit scoring 2 + solid center.
http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA also, at the bottom of this article: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-arenasprobe123109&prov=yhoo&type=lgns "The Wizards are active in trade talks with multiple teams, league sources said, and willing to trade any player on their roster."
I am guessing Morey is asking for a pick and other stuff to take Butler's "bad contract" off their hands. Maybe something like Rockets 1st rounder + McGrady for Butler + Haywood + James + WAS first rounder. Funny enough, the one guy I really want on that team is Brandon Haywood. He's a quality player who can likely be signed at the right contract to either back up Yao or be his injury insurance. The small ball is all well a good, but sometimes, it's just useful to have a good 7 footer.
Whatever happens, DM is going to completely rape someone before the deadline... Fun time to be a Rocket fan!!!
I would love Butler on this team. Sure his scoring his down, but he is rebounding well for his position.
WOW...Looks like this is setting up as a bidding war between crap teams for TMAC...LOVE IT! Bulter/Blatche/Miller for TMAC/Dorsey..do it Morey!!!
look at washington... offered arenas which morey turned down immediately. now upping the offer to butler, which i'm sure morey is willing to talk about. butler seems like a fall back. we know washing is motivated to make the move. morey will probably tell them if he doesn't find a better offer he'll take this at the deadline.
We might have to put up with Mike James for the rest of the year for the salaries to match. I just put this together at the last minute, but it is a starting point. McGrady, Cook and Taylor for Cutler, McGee, James, Stevenson. It is tough trying to make salaries match up.
