Sadly, this country has always been racist, and will continue being so. There’s just too many who think the color of your skin is more important than the substance of one’s character. It’s going to take a long time to rid the country of that, it obviously goes back to our founding.

Reminds me of Daniel Toshs stand-up. "All men are created equal, you know what we mean (wink)". But you're absolutely right.

Do you understand the premise of income disparity and WHY more crimes are committed in low income (minority in you words) environments? Ohh and that this country is 70% white. Just in case you know, maybe you forgot or something. Ohh and also that the chances of a "minority" being killed by police in comparison to a white dude is exponentially higher. Just sayin since you seem to find the topic funny. "Follow the rules" right? ... "lol" .. smh.

    Apparently not.

So wait, you agree with Republicans that income disparity is largely responsible for the disproportionately large amount of crime done by African Americans?

Huh. You were making it a race thing earlier. Strange.

you're good at gaslighting no doubt, its a product of the times and of your like minded Trump brothers, but is race and income disparity non sequitur?? Seems like thats a pretty easy couple of dots to connect. I dont want to have to go through the socio-economic changes within this country from the Civil War and the Jim Crow laws and try to make a point to someone who is only going to latch onto talking points and find this amusing in the end.

YOU are part of the problem.

I don't know, what does John Lewis walking across a bridge and getting beat up by white supremacist cops do by itself? Probably nothing - I can tell you the next day in Selma things were still as racist and jim crow as ever. But he did what he did and over time it added up.

Not sure why you're so upset about it. You can't say "i support peaceful protest" and then mock peaceful acts of protest calculated to draw attention to something for not accomplishing anything, particular when they captured your attention.

You remind me of a gentleman by the name of @Bobbythegreat who took great pains to inform us how meaningless and futile and unbothered by Colin Kaepernick kneeling that he ....posted about it over 123 times in one thread.

Wow.Huge deal. They captured my attention.Unfortunately,Bringing attention to something doesn't mean diddly if people are unwilling to change. Kaepernick started this 4 years ago and nothing has changed.People are still getting killed, unfortunately. There has been nothing but awareness for months. It's on the court, the jerseys, it's on almost every channel, it's on every social media platform, it's on the streets, it's everywhere. I'm pretty positive everyone is aware. It's not like this started new.So not sure all this capturing my attention means something.

Should everybody across the country walk off their jobs too? That will show the cops not to defend themselves against felons running to their car even though they are warned to stop. It's so confusing to see this outrage for a guy who was obviously resisting arrest and about to drive off with his kids in the car. Also, per available information he was a near career criminal. And to paint a picture that all black men are at risk of a similar fate is... disingenuous, to say the least.

It's just bewildering to me that they thought printing some slogans on their jerseys was gonna end police shootings. Even more bewildering that they think boycotting the playoffs is going to affect anything, other than capturing my attention, right?

I think we can't just throw our hands up and say we can't do anything about this. It's unfair. Nobody thinks inequality will be solved quickly, but why not try? We can do better.

"Why would deciding to not ride on buses do anything?"
"Why would protesting against a salt tax by going on a march do anything?"
"Why would attacking a ship and throwing the boxes of tea into Boston Harbour change anything?"

They just made voting easier for 100,000s or even millions of people.

What did you do today to affect positive change, granted you probably had to sleep in after complaining about the futility of nonviolent protest to a bunch of random strangers and how much you don't care about it till 4 AM, so you maybe got a late start ;)

You have cities being burned and looted while these millionaire cry babies are canceling their season demanding "justice" for a pos guy fighting police and not complying while guns are drawn on him. They also bow to and support China who is doing some absolutely abhorrent **** including legit ethnic cleansing.

While I have absolutely zero problem standing up for actual injustices, inequality and police reform it is a bad time to be associated with this sham. A black murder suspect that police were trying to apprehend shot himself in the head 1 or 2 days ago and the BLM mob still rioted and looted over it.They have the opportunity to protest the death of David Dorne, a black officer killed by looters. But instead, let's protest this. It goes to show you there is no thought process behind this. It is nothing more than media in conjunction with severe mental r****dation on behalf of the crowd.

The guy has a rap sheet dealing with guns and touching kids and a warrant. The cops know how to handle that situation better than athletes and armchair politicians. They have been trained, do they need more training? Sure.

Oh and Trump is probably going to win by landslide,BTW

Welcome to the board. How are things in Antalya Turkey, as a 29 year old male? Did you watch Jordan via satellite dish in your father's rug bazaar stand?

Well said, but unfortunately you're just wasting your time and energy. Sports have become completely contaminated by the mainstream media's agenda and this place appears to be no different. Just know that not all of us out here are completely brainwashed, can think for ourselves and see what's really going on.

"No thought process." Your outrage is as selective as you accuse other people of having. The "rap sheet" evidently means it was ok that this unarmed man was shot 7 times in the back.

Compare the Kenosha incident with the confrontation below.

Notice this man was not complying with the police. He was shouting abuse at the police. He threatened to kill the officer. Did he get shot? No. He didn't. I am glad he didn't, but the fact of the matter is that the first impulse for too many police officers is to shoot, or maim black people. We have seen too many killed on video with virtually no consequences for the perpetrators who are paid by our tax dollars to protect the *entire* community. Why aren't *you* mad about this? Why aren't *you* mad that a high school dropout had his mother drop him off in Kenosha 20 miles from his home and murdered two people with an AR-15 and the police on the scene didn't arrest him?
