really need to be smarter. with same starting lineup, a better chance? c'mon, if the first round exit is what you are looking for, you're absolutely right.

if you really want to have something in the playoff, the change has to be made. you have to gamble. you have to take some risks.

last 21 games, we didn't do any change until rafer was injured. how many games did sf play as a starter? two. wow, just two games, you came up a conclusion. what is our win-loss? 19-2. did we lose the games with yao, tmac, hayes, battier, and rafer?

i will tell you that the writer is clueless.

Maybe getting Adelman was a mistake. Imagine if we had Wells, Stevie, and Scola last year in the playoffs. They would be perfect for Van Gundy's system. Adelman gives the players more freedom to create plays but they didn't play like that before. It would take a couple of seasons to adjust to that system, and our time for winning is now. Adelman would probably help a young team like the Grizzlies or Bobcats much more than the Rockets. We probably should have kept JVG.

The Rocket that trains the hardest and works the hardest should be Yao I think, no? And Yao does not get enough playing minutes?

To be honest, the JVG team without Yao Ming looked better than with Yao Ming.

So just ask JVG whether your honesty is the same as his. I will quit this bbs if the answer is yes. Otherwise you quit :D

Blah blah blah....everybody says give JVG this roster and he'd do better...this roster wouldn't exist under JVG.

No, what you said is an understatement. Someone even suggested that this team minus Yao would be better than having Yao in the team.

A first round exit would be an upgrade for a team which, right now, appears lottery bound.

The results this season speak for themselves. Rick is doing less with more. End of discussion.

I think the elite teams in the West will beat us because of talent. Coach JVG was able to make gold out of lead. If he had the talent level of the other elite teams, the Rockets would have gotten out of the first round easily. Let's be honest, you can't expect a team that starts Rafer and Hayes to go very far. Yao and TMac, as good as they are, need a third scoring option and athleticism and size around them.
