    btw: this should end the discussion of China/NBA having anything to do with Morey quitting the Rockets
    as the theory is NBA/China wouldn't want him in the association at all

    Quiting is now clearly all about seeking best job available

    @AroundTheWorld -- there is no bigger appreciation and endorsement of Morey from circles in the NBA than him being immediately hired again by a significant franchise.

    He left because he wanted nothing to do with Rockets ownership.

    Going back to the North East that he loves helps too.

    correction it's actually 2 years. Year 1 he was just sitting pretty because Morey had already done everything to set up that 65 win team with cp3,pj,lmm etc. before officially being named owner. He had absolutely nothing to do with that team

    yup. one of my first thoughts as well. at least one of embiid, simmons, harris will be moved. He knows damn well that trio isn't a good fit
