They gave him the room exception, which means they are operating below the cap. The Tim Hardaway Jr. signing told us that as well. Now WHY they gave that to him???...no idea. He likely would've taken a minimum non-guaranteed deal. What little it does tell us is that they aren't expecting to open up significant cap room after the Melo trade, otherwise they would have waited on this. But then again, they just gave Ron Baker $8.9 million and a player option, so who knows...
How many times have we heard that lol. Plz just get this done already! Morey we know you're reading this. Stop making us wait dang it.
That's the dude that used his photo with Krillin's tweets. He was told Sunday cause he saw the tweet we saw ol' tryna steal the spotlight ass
I mean. Yes we can all say that now. But we don't know Melo. Maybe he likes Paul George and Westbrook and in the next month or so the team tells him we are not going to send you to either of those two teams. Maybe he sucks it up and agrees to go to OKC. So many people are talking using definites. A month ago ask any expert what the chances are Paul George ends up in OKC is and they would have said "that's not an option". We're not reliable sources in Melos or the Knicks thinking. Potato guy isn't. Dreamshake isn't. None of us are.
It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Melo/Rockets wanted to wait until the slowest sports day of the year to announce this trade.
I'll take the credibility of Ethan from DS over your blind pessimism.....which, lets face it, is what you are operating based on.
Based on what exactly?? Deals take a lot longer than just a day or two. There are a lot of moving parts, plus you have media and social obligations to consider. It's asinine to think that just because it's taking longer than RIGHT THIS INSTANT, that the deal won't be done.
