Add Bruce Bowen and megadouche Garnett to your list.

And then of course there is the high character poster boy Shane Battier with no rings. :(

He's taking about bad attitude players coming out of college. Bruce was a saint and Garnett wasn't hard to coach.

We probably can't get both. Whiteside is projected as a lottery pick as well.

Actually, if we can't trade up, Whitside might be available at 14. He will be the best shotblocker on the Rockets since Hakeem. If we can't get Bosh, Whiteside can be the awesome defensive PF sidekick Yao has been lacking.

    Here's Hollinger's take:

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nbadraft/draft/tracker/player?playerId=19497&draftyear=2010

Summary: May 6 Update: In Chad Ford's first mock draft, Whiteside went No. 13 to the Raptors. Analysis: Whiteside has as much upside as anyone in the draft not named Wall or Favors. He's a super-long, lanky shot-blocker who nearly had four triple-doubles this season in points, rebounds and blocked shots. With the Raptors in danger of losing Chris Bosh this summer, expect Toronto to swing for the fences to help fans forget Bosh if he bolts.

He won't be better than a young Mutombo but he might be better than the old Mutombo.

So does Adam Morrison... I am pretty sure Maxwell could not have gotten his without Dream.

What would Cousins bring to this team?

Size, inside offense, footwork, good hands, even a solid perimeter shot.

You obviously overhype Whiteside as well If you think He will Get more blocks in his rookie season or even his 2nd season than an old Deke.

He's soooooo raw he will be riding the pine for 2 years.

I am comparing him to the old Deke in Houston. Not to the young Deke in Denver.

I know and I'm still saying the Old Deke would play more than Whiteside here.

Not if he does well training with Hakeem. I am pretty sure he would crack the rotation by mid-season.

Would that be worth trading away Brooks and CBudd?

I am not saying he couldn't be good further down the line, but with our window of opportunity closing with Yao, I don't see why we would trade our starting PG for a slightly better Jordan Hill with an attitude problem.

The post you quoted was in reference to Whiteside, who might be available at pick #14. The Rockets would not have to trade anybody.

But Cousins absolutely would be worth it and he's much better than Hill.

You really think he would be better than a 2nd year Hill? I don't know...

But Whiteside would not only have an impact defensively, but offensively as well, given his unblock-able developing jumpshot and good footwork ...

Plus his been working with Hakeem, and if any one can teach this young big man how to use his physical gifts it would be "The Dream"...

Cousins? No doubt. He is already more polished offensively.
