It was on the ESPN draft lottery page, draft analysis when you click on Cousins.

if im nj i start the convo with #14, and shane battier.

if im minny i i start the convo with #14 and bud.

either team will prob ask for a future first and some sort of extra compensation (taylor, llull).

What about Al-Farouq Aminu or Wesley Johnson for SF?

How does getting Rubio involve getting their #4 pick?

    Then this will happen..I hope:

    Rocket trade the 14 for Minnesota's 4th.

Minni get's their Triangle offense SG in Xavier Henry (he's a lotto pick but the bigs will push him out of the lotto)

We get Cousin's and our new Backup Center.

We trade NY Pick and ?? for Rubio.

They have Batum already and he seems to fit just fine.

I thought Batum was just a roleplayer. He only gets 5-10 ppg, 2-3 rbs,

They pretty well stacked at the PF/C with Aldridge, Camby, and Oden for several years.

One of the ESPN guys also said that watch out for Cousins because his attitude and he may start taking a lot of jumpshots.

In College he didn't even take a lot of jumpshots.

ESPN writes nonsense at times. As a Kentucky fan I will say he had maturity issues at the beginning of the year but he started to mature as the season went on and he was tested every single time he played.

In fact Wake Forest strategy was for McFarland to get under his skin and it didn't work.

I think so as well. There is no guarantee that Rubio will come to Minnesota. If he costs too much,Morey will back out.

I'm pretty sure Morey wants Turner. In fact, I'm certain he wants Turner. The gap between Turner and the next best player is very significant.

    3 things have to happen:

1 - Given: The Wizards draft Wall.
2 - Philly drafts anyone but Turner (they already have a star SF in Iguadola...still it's hard to believe they wouldn't take Turner).
3 - Nets have to trade us their pick for say Budinger, Hill, and a NY 1st round pick.

If the Nets are dumb enough to pass up on Turner as well, Morey would have to trade a lot less young talent to Minny who is always a good trading partner for the Rockets.

    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin / Ariza / Taylor
    Turner / Battier
    Scola / Hayes / Jeffries
    Yao / Andersen

    Do it Morey!

Cousins will be one of the few breakout players from this years draft, bad attitude or not. Truthfully, our locker room is a good one full of good people who would make a good impression on a young player like him. If Morey could somehow get Cousins at #3, then he could use that #14 (assuming that we still have it) to get Paul George/ James Anderson/ or Solomon Alabi still.

The only star talent are the 1st two picks in this draft. After that it's a scramble for role players.

Oden is injured and Camby is a stop gap. I could see them wanting a big to pair up with Aldridge. I wouldn't be surprised if they went with Johnson as a SF. Aminu isn't much of a shooter.
