You realize Joe Johnson is a free agent? and is getting paid $14Mil now and there is no reason to think he'd take less. Where as Martin is getting paid $10Mil.

In which case you throw in David Andersen (hopefully no one much better than that) to even out the salaries (of course, Atlanta didn't sign Andersen when they had his draft rights; don't know if they'd want him now).

Yeah Morey definitely isn't considering the future of the organization without a near 30 year old that is proving to be purpose built to miss basketball games, or seasons as it were. It's such an illogical assumption to think Morey would trade up to slots where bigs will undoubtedly go.

Wait a minute, Donte Green was not a lottery pick, let alone a top 3 pick. If Morey were able to get Cousins at #3, no way he trades him!

Exactly. And I wouldn't be surprised if he trades him once his value is higher.

Honestly, I don't think any of us can peg what Morey is up to.

Every trade he's made, nobody saw coming.

Many of us saw the t-mac trade coming, since the last year. I get your point though. ;)

The deal I still see is a 3-way involving Minny, sending Minny expirings, plus Hill, plus the 2011 swap rights between us and NY, Minny sends Al to Toronto, we send Toronto our first rounder plus NY's 2012 first rounder, plus Brooks, Toronto sends us Bosh and Jack and Minny gives us the rights to Rubio. Perhaps we send Brooks to NJ along with the #14 to get #3 to send to Toronto or Minny. I don't know. I am convinced of this: Morey wants to get either Bosh and Rubio or Lebron. And I am convinced he is willing to make the deal happen even if it means giving up Brooks.

Rubio is a generational talent. When guys like Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant respect his game while he is still a teenager and Chris Paul talks about how dangerous he is defensively, that tells you all you need to know about Rubio's defense. Rubio will be a top 6 point guard the moment he steps onto the NBA floor.

    Have to agree about Cousins....

Have a feeling he's going to be a BEAST at the next level and the steal of the draft..

The prospect of that made me need to change my pants. Rubio and Bosh paired with Yao, Kevin Martin, Lowry, Scola, and Ariza? Can we say championship??

My mistake about the year, but my point is still the same. The surgery was succesful and he played 30 mins per game a year after, not 5. He had the surgery in feb 2001 and was back just over 9 months later. Seems like he didnt rehab as long as he should have. Yao already is at that time frame and isn't close to being able to play. It's safe to say Z used that first season to continue coming back from surgery.

I dont have any examples because it was an EXPERIMENTAL surgery. It's not something commonly done and like i said i don't think anyone else has had it. You're not going to find any credible source saying the surgery was not succesful for Z. In fact, you'll find the opposite was true.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's why I don't trust the idea of the much publicized potential trade for Bosh! :p
