I wish him well. He's had a hell of a career. I'd hate to see it come to an end like this. I'd also rather see the Rockets beat a healthy Spurs team than a depleted one.

Parker's like their 3rd or 4th option now, so the spurs wont take that big of hit.

Feel bad for Tony. He seems like a genuinely nice guy and always has had a quiet humble demeanor.

Now with that said, anyone who thinks that him being out won't have a big hit on the Spurs is delusional.

This dude has been averaging 16 points and shooting above 50% from 3 in the playoffs, all while only playing 26 mins a game. The dude has been putting up better numbers than Lou Will, Eric Gordon, and even Kyle Lowry.

So yes, he will be missed dearly by San Antonio. I'm interested to see what adjustments Pop makes.

Either way we gotta come out and capitalise.

As a Rockets fan, I don't have any sympathy for the team or city itself. The Rockets organization has had their fair share of injuries and nobody has cut them slack - so if the Spurs struggle without TP, and the Rockets can capitalize, good for them. It's part of the game.

However, I absolutely feel bad for TP and wish him a speedy recovery. I dont wish any ill-will or injury of any magnitude even on my worst enemy.

It was sad for me too. I always liked his game and never want a player hurt.

I cant say ive always liked tony the person though. Banging your teammates wife violates all sorts of bro codes

I don't think for a second that him being out changes the outlook if we win the series. We proved what we can do in game 1 and besides the Spurs can't rely that much on a vet....

    Speedy recovery

People underestimate the psychological impact this will have on the Spurs and especially Pop. This is the floor general for the past 15 years that's been executing Pop's system, it is a HUGE loss for them.

Sad news. Wish that vets like Parker could walk away from the game on their on terms. Injuries always take out good guys like Parker, Brandon Roy, Yao, yet the Draymond Green's of the world remain healthy as hell...smh.

Moving past mourning and onto the basketball side of things...does anyone think they might be better without parker?

The ball will be in kawhis hands more and mills is a dead eye shooter.

Sometimes parker is a ballhog and prevents his teammates from getting involved.

Im nervous this might help them

Unfortunately Patty Mills has taken over the role of superstar flopper PG. Parker was actually playing fairly respectably.

Sucks for Parker and for the Spurs. It becomes doubly incumbent on the Rockets to prevail and challenge the Warriors at full strength. I don't want them skipping to the Finals again over a pile of broken bodies.
