So many other forwards that I would clear out before TJones, like Patterson, Morris, The Nutcase. Jones should be apart of our future!

Royce White has absolutely no trade value, Morris probably has very little, getting rid of Jones sort of makes sense because he'll never get on the court anyway, he's buried on that roster really deep

you would clear them out because they have less promise than Jones. Other GMs feel the same way. What value do you think White has to another GM? It is not about how much we value each PF; it is about how much we value each PF relative to their worth to other GMs.

hell no! tjones can be a Scottie Pippen type of player. he should be backing up chandler and delfino should back up harden. mchale needs to fix that and stop looking at tjones as a PF. him in SF is a major mismatch plus great rebounding and defense.

keep him. trade ppatt or Morris for picks instead!

Wow. Seems I called this somewhere but I'm too lazy to go find it.

They want to clear this logjam of forwards because, quite simply, they need more cap room; and draft picks cost nothing in trade, even if there's the chance a player already drafted would have more value to the team.

So who they going after with this cap room? If it's Howard, PLEASE have his promise he's coming here before flushing away good players. Tjones ain't no scrub.

    This^^.

Trading dmo would be like trading scola.

Jones post game is not there. He's a poor man's Kenyon Martin.

I bet if we trade Terrance Jones where ever he goes he's going to come in and play good basketball then we'll sit back and say rockets management didn't learn nothing from the Jeremy Lin situation... Then again bringing back Jeremy Lin had more to do with how much they could make off him versus what he did on the court.

Yeah Jones is WAY too reliant on his athleticism IMO. He's the right choice to move since he has value and he's not important to what the Rockets are doing.

The stigma with that word arose when certain posters perpetuated the myth that Morey's treatment of players is making Houston an undesirable location for free agents, especially big name free agents. Thus, Houston will never land a star because we don't treat our players well enough, or something along those lines.

Turns out players don't really care about that (should not come to anyone's surprise).

T-Jones is just another asset, and he knows he is playing on a team with a log jam of his position. I'm sure he himself would prefer playing on a team where he has more opportunities to play.

I agree. If, for example, the possible deal being speculated about here were to come to pass, Hamilton and the rights to Mirotic (which I want to happen) or the Bobcats pick, if Jones were included, the Bulls are still over the cap. The cap is $70.307 million and with +Jones/-Hamilton, the Bulls are at $70.546 million, at least the way I calculate it. Jones would have to go to another team for that 1st round pick, or we would have to take another player from the Bulls along with Hamilton to get them under the cap.

I understand what you're saying, but I see it more as replacing two three point shooting back ups (Douglas/Beverley) with one to get consistent minutes. I really hate how we keep going back and forth between two back ups.

Kevin McHale needs to bear all the blame. Morey selected a great draft pick for our club in Terrence Jones. McHale has done little to turn Jones into a significant part of our future. Logically speaking I would considering that we are rebuilding and that such a talent should naturally be kept, some of the dead wood sent packing.

I do not like the lack of development of our younger players, especially shown when he plays several dreadful players lacking in talent. If Morey trades Jones for a first round pick, be sure that the new pick will be a talent warming the bench in McHale Basketball Y:p

Jones is not FURTHER along than Dmo.

I think people get excited about his length & athletic ability... But the coaching staff spends a lot of time with these players, so maybe they don't see "it" because Jones doesn't have "it"

"It" is hard to find if you don't already have it.

Yes he could end up as good as J Smith & Milsap... but he could also end up as bad as Stromile Swift & Terrence Wiliams... showing flashes, but consistently inconsistent.

You can tell immediately when watching Dmo play that he knows exactly how to USE his talents.. and that's key...

Keep the better player and allow Jones' length & athletic ability to fool other GMs into believing he's better than what he is...

I personally hope Morris is traded for a first instead of Jones. I'm speaking on your Jones vs. Dmo comparison.

Lol what has T Jones done to warrant staying over 2 Pat? Patrick isn't a great player but he is a solid player and if we could find a better starting PF Patrick would be awesome coming of the bench.

What's up with all the idiots posting the same information? Not making any sense right now but waiting to see if a trade is in the works.
