Gotta bring in Sarver as a consultant to help manage all the different groups as well. The kid really showed some flashes early in his career.
As long as none of them directly blames Simmons for their losses, they can still turn it around. They are kinda stuck in the mess that they created and adding on a bit more mess is marginally insignificant from a PR standpoint. No other team can afford the PR hit that Udoka would bring with him at the moment. NBA is a talent based league after all - that's the only thing Marks has left to bet on because of the Harden trade. Edit: the contrarian in Kyrie may respect the guy simply because media/general public holds unfavorable opinion of Udoka atm.
The more I think about this situation the happier I get. Every day that Durant gets older his value decreases, reducing the Nets chance of getting a star player in return. Kyrie is further tanking his value both on and off of the court. Ben Simmons looks like he has the yips after a year and a half off of the court. He may never be the same. Now they fire their coach less than 10 games into the season and hire a guy who was suspended for improper sexual conduct within the organization? Also, the Ringer has had some great articles about what's going on in Brooklyn as of late. https://www.theringer.com/nba/2022/11/1/23435423/ime-udoka-brooklyn-nets-steve-nash https://www.theringer.com/nba/2022/10/31/23432600/brooklyn-nets-kyrie-irving-kevin-durant
Are you saying Nets missed a chance to trade KD and that they should've traded Kyrie for Westbrook? If anything, they may get Kyrie on discount after this year because he further proved how toxic he is. Simmons not playing well is the only good news for us and hopefully New York media keeps making g fun of his ass untill he quits the league, but if he doesn't, there is a chance that he improves too. Anyways, Nets and Irving are doing damage control and paying off the critics with a donation..
Does anyone think that the Nets having owners who don't understand American culture could be adding to the problem?
We have the option to stick to basketball in the Dish. We really do. If you care that Jalen learned something about workplace law, you could take that up in D&D? Serious suggestion. (And I don't always meet this standard, lord knows, but I will try.)
On topic, was great to see KD show out and get a win last night without Nash and Irving around. If they just hand him the keys, he still might make them a 7th seed or something. Incredible that he can still play at that level, even for a few games here and there. EDIT: I don't want the Nets to become a playoff team. Just am a kaydee apologist in general.
Yes, let me say a dish-appropriate prayer of repentance. Dear little baby Elvin Hayes, We thank you for our gifts of mustard and ketchup, And all that you sacrificed for the persecuted Houstonians Dear little baby Elvin Hayes, I have sinned, for I partook in non-Schadenfreude enjoyment of the current NBA season, long may it last Please for give me, Elvin Hayes, For I have strayed from the path of suffering, from watching our babes play hoop stank and praying for drafts to come. In the name of the Elvin, the Moses, and the Holy Dream, Amen.
