This isn't a genius move or anything by Morey, but at the same time it's more than just a salary dump.

Yes getting rid of horford gives them much better cap flexibility... More importantly, this is Morey fixing Elton brands roster building blunders.

Removing horford and adding green improves the team. Not because green is great, but because he provide fair to above avg shooting, defense and spacing.

Furthermore horford was a terrible fit and removing him is an addition by substraction. The discontent and tension which existed with fit, roles, playing time and spacing between embid, tobias and simmons are largely improved just by his subtraction.

Both sides got some value but imo DM won the trade overall.
Horford's contract seems more like a 2-1st rounder kind of dead weight to me, not one!

I think Miami, Denver and Toronto is still better but Presti is def top 5.

It'll be more than 2 first rounders when Presti trades Horford later on. See what he did to Cp3. Horford isnt a scrub Philly was just badly made

For all of those 1st rounders Presti has acquired over the years, it still doesn't dismiss the fact that he had THREE future MVPs on the roster at one time. Failing to even win one championship with that trio is still a stain on his resume. I think Presti's fantastic at acquiring picks and he's pretty good at the draft but that's half the battle.

You give him a Microsoft founder like Ballmer, then he'd get the other half.

I really have lost track of NBA happenings lately. I didn’t even know we had traded RoCo till yesterday. I thought either there was some giant inside joke abt us trading Ariza (like we had gone back in time) or nba writers really don’t pay any attention to the sport they cover...

    I don’t understand this team.

The "and stuff" part of the title isn't getting the credit deserves. I laughed
