Not backpedaling on anything. My posts are out there. I'm not hiding them. I'm very happy with my hit rate on the draft. I'd put my draft board against anybody.
Rubio will never be a significant part of a championship team as long as he is the player he is today. he's the same loser he was the day he got drafted and each year he proves it
i stopped reading anything draft related from you once you claimed Rubio would be the best player coming out of the 2009 draft.
yeah that makes a ton of sense. lots of basketball there you're the same person who believed Aaron Craft should be in the NBA and his defense is top notch. Just top notch hit rate there LOL
NOBODY is saying we should leave the roster 'as is'. All anyone is saying is Rubio has never been and will never be the answer -- especially not this season. Entertaining the notion is purely noise and a waste of precious bandwidth.
Lin and Parsons? I'm really confused that you would bring those two guys up. I said a star level playmaker. You're talking about reducing Harden's turnovers and bring up Lin who is going to turn it over too? Of course he didn't want Lin...most people here on this very forum felt the way about Lin as you feel about Terrence Jones. We had to give up a 1st round pick just to get him out of town and he has been on 3 teams since then. Parsons was a good secondary playmaker and he did fine in that role, but he is not a primary playmaker and replacing Parsons with Ariza has worked to the tune of a WCF berth and this year having one of the best and highest scoring teams in the NBA. The Rockets seemed intent on keeping Parsons until he got that bloated contract. James didn't run him out of town. He didn't cry when he left because he knew that Parsons wasn't a star level player. He was right. I'm glad he didn't whine and make excuses. He said that ultimately the team would perform based on what he and Dwight does.
This is going to sound crazy... but he has actually found some nice late pick targets. I think he was into Brogdon early last year for example. Lots of people on this board have interesting opinions. His two biggest misses that basically color everything he says: 1. Completely baffling over infatuation with Rubio. 2. Completely baffling undervaluing of Harden.
Without Rubio the Wolves wouldn't have Wiggins, Towns and Lavine. I heard he also missed the deadline for the insider newsletter a few times so you can add that to the list.
