Shams reports Wall will give up 89 million in deal.

 

My sources are telling me that Tillman actually wants to give Wall another max deal when his contract ends. He's a true leader and he wants Wall to lead this team to a championship.

I’m fine with this. They’re paying him either way. Win or lose, I’m not sure he is a positive on or off the court for this group. And from his side, might as well give the guy a chance to go to another team with something to play for. From his perspective, it probably sucks to be a veteran, former star player who spent two years trying to make it back to the NBA, stuck on a team that’s tanking. Wall may not have much time left in the NBA, let him go.

From a Rocket fan’s perspective, it’s a lot more fun to watch Wood, Porter, and Tate develop than Wall jacking up bad jump shots and scowling and chewing out his teammates all the time.
