HOUSTON -- The NBA trade deadline came and went. John Wall didn't move. Unable to find a trade partner for the former All-Star guard, the Rockets will try to structure a contract buyout for the five-time All-Star, GM Rafael Stone told reporters.
My sources are telling me that Tillman actually wants to give Wall another max deal when his contract ends. He's a true leader and he wants Wall to lead this team to a championship. Spoiler
I’m fine with this. They’re paying him either way. Win or lose, I’m not sure he is a positive on or off the court for this group. And from his side, might as well give the guy a chance to go to another team with something to play for. From his perspective, it probably sucks to be a veteran, former star player who spent two years trying to make it back to the NBA, stuck on a team that’s tanking. Wall may not have much time left in the NBA, let him go. From a Rocket fan’s perspective, it’s a lot more fun to watch Wood, Porter, and Tate develop than Wall jacking up bad jump shots and scowling and chewing out his teammates all the time.
Its not that people fall for April fools jokes. Many people have no idea what the date is. It was immediately suspicious because I didn't think Tilman could afford to buy him out.
