If Houston doesn’t get a great deal James has no choice but to play out the year. I believe it’s posturing but it’s also very possible. The thing that’s most important is that it says James still wants out and until that changes nothing really matters.

i have maintained and do still that harden with only year left isn’t great for the rockets because he will have all the leverage. Doesn’t mean they just take any deal but if it goes past the deadline just understand the return won’t be great. What complicates things further in the short team and next off season is beal.

Beal is not the player harden is but he’s 4 years younger, easier to fit in an offensive system and the perception of him is he’s much more low maintenance than James is. If you’re Miami Philly Boston denver and Beal is available or harden the much better safer is going to be beal even though he’s not as good as harden.

and potentially he may be fetch less as well too.

I want him to stay but I don’t know what they are smoking to actually believe he will be content staying on a losing team. Eventually when things get bad enough he won’t be content.
