No I think he can be better than that. Robinson is already a much better rebounder than Williams. I think people are making a mistake by giving up on T-Rob so fast. I still remember when T-Rob dunked all over Pau Gasol in the preseason game. Hopefully he will make GMs looks stupid in the future.
Don't think it is rough. Obviously, he will not be used at all under McHale. Hope he goes to a coach that utilize his strength
Yes. Vindicated by Marc Spears having pronounced a guy who averaged a double double and over 2 steals per 36 minutes in his rookie season a bust. CH, your TRob hate cheerleading is tired and ill-informed. No one cares that you "told us so". It's well documented that you don't like TRob. It doesn't change the fact tht it's far too early to know how good he'll be. I'm actually looking forward to trading him...just so I won't have to keep reading all of the butt-hurt potshots you take at him and the organization for a trade that didn't hurt the team in any significant way.
Kind of sucks to hear this given the hope/expectations that accompanies acquiring a top 5 talent, but the fact of the matter is what he and T-Jones bring to the table is very similar. Only one is cheaper and seemingly more groomed at this point.
Okay - we get it, Carl Herrera. You believe Thomas Robinson to be completely worthless. But I'm just wondering, what does that make Patterson worth? Because Thomas Robinson was apparently the best we could get for him. And for the record, I'll be shocked if a team like Charlotte or Orlando isn't willing to send us a 2nd rounder or two to take a gamble on Robinson's potential.
PPAT was a solid rotational player, an automatic midrange decent midrange, bad rebounding player...perfect next to dwight. He had some value. Another year and TRob doesn't pan out the only thing we will be able to do is waive him.
And in another year Patterson will be a free agent. I have no idea how much he'll command on the open market, but it's likely he would get it from some place other than Houston.
I dont know about that, I thought PPatt was pretty unique with his ability to defend the pf position well and also shoot 3s so well.
There are also rumors that the Hawks have the money to bring in Howard and CP3. They are reporting that Howard might want to play for his home team. They still thinks that CP3 will go wherever Howard goes, since both have talked about pairing up 2 years ago...
A couple reasons why i think the Cavs will be our trading partner for Robinson. First ask yourself. Will Robinson turn out to be a better SF than Luke Walton? Alonzo Gee? I think so. Reason #2: They have 4 picks in the draft. Two in the 1st round.
Yeah, Thomas Robinson is not a small forward. If the Rockets thought he could knock down jump shots, he wouldn't be on the block.
