He is actually an Anti Dillon Brooks. A just being, a good guy who is just overly strong. A well liked Kiwi next to the Aussie. But what does that make Boban Marjanovic?
When healthy, name 19 better centers. You can’t because they don’t exist. Also, what remains to be seen? He had surgery and will be better when next season starts. A few drama queens on this site.
Better Centers do exist, he is not the best Offensive Center, he is a good Defensive Center first and foremost. The downside he might be damaged goods as a player (a good character though) And even after surgery, he might be physically limited and changed. There should not be any drama because it is alright but nothing that is close to being a game changer.
Seems like half of the NBL is owned by NBA dudes now. Khris Middleton, Kevin Martin and Thaddeus Young are part of the Brisbane Bullets ownership group. John Wall owns part of South East Melbourne with Zach Randolph, Josh Childress, Al Harrington and Dante Exum. Moving Screen Bogut owns part of the Sydney Kings. And Shawn Marion owns part of the NZ Breakers with Big Steve.
So both injured players are owning the Breakers....nice. Time to offset the OTE.....and make it a better program.
it looks like we've limited our options via trade for higher salaries, so in a sense, we're definately not going all in for play-in/play-offs. Stone must have gotten the executive order from Tilman.
If all of us on CF took up a collection could we be part owners of the down under Rockets? *insert your 2019 Tilman joke here*
Value-wise, a good trade if Adams’ career isn’t over. PCL reconstruction surgery is rare. Hopefully our medical staff have positive signal on his recovery so far. I see people saying that this trade serves to roll over a tradable expiring salary slot to next year. That’s true ONLY IF we operate as an above the tax team this offseason — meaning we either plan to pick up the options on all of Jeff Green, Landale, and Tate (extremely unlikely), or there is another trade(s) lined up to flip those contracts for contracts with an extra year left.
This deal doesn’t satisfy Udoka’s FOMO about the playoffs so I feel like there’s still a chance we’re targeting a SG. With Oladipo gone we can’t match big salaries without including one of the Greens. We could match someone up to $20m using Tate/Landale/Bullock. Why the hell did we acquire a C who’s not healthy this year and can’t hit the 3 and isn’t a lob/transition threat? Like those were the 3 most important things our ailing offense needed. I don’t know what these guys are doing but at least Adams is a great defender with a winning personality. Isn’t there still a chance he’s being aggregated in a trade?
One of the Greens? Jeff is virtually going to be 38....I mean if we are holding out on him, I do not know what I am supposed to think about the organization. Or do you mean Gerald Green, our commentator......
3 for an injured player is still too much, 1 maybe....2 at most. If the Rockets have major injuries, you could have a season where the 2nd rounders might be high 2nd rounders. The Grizzlies are in the same Division, if one of the 2nd rounders turned into a rotation player, that is already strengthening a Division Rival. Safe to say it was not a great trade but you tolerate biting yourself because Adams is potentially a good character and not a malcontent.
