They wouldn't be losing much. Asik is well worth it for them.

No. He's a Dwight hater. Everything he wrote in the past years, if you look at them, is about how Dwight sucks. Dwight must've pissed him off at some point in the past.

@sam_amick (5 days ago): Addendum on Rox free agency front:I'm told they have moves teed up for necessary Asik/Lin trades but want to keep them if can't get LBJ/Melo

I agree completely and I can't see why LeBron would rather play with his friend than a better and younger player. Doc said Broussard was wrong before he even said it. I have a feeling Doc knew it was going to get leaked to scare these teams into making some moves to solidify their teams. Maybe someone leaked it to pressure Miami to make a strong push for a certain player.

If Rockets are really trying to get Lebron, why not trade Asik and Lin for a 12 or 13th pick in this year's draft and draft someone like McDermott or Gary Harris? Keep their cap hold until Free Agency is completed. Why trade away for nothing and it impacts the team ZERO

Letting the FA's know that it's easy to create the space and starting a potential bidding war while letting everyone know that the Rockets will have plenty to sweeten the pot in a Lin trade

Please stop the nonsense. James Harden isn't going anywhere. On the other hand N.O will be a no fly zone with Davis at the four and Asik at the five. Yikes. Did we have to trade within the division?

No because you have to go below the cap to sign Lebron. In order to do that you have to renounce your MLE.

By the don't believe Broussard. Rockets are not trading Harden.

Agreed, even though I'm not a big LeBron fan...IF he were to come here, I would have to put that s#!t to the side and cheer for him because, as a TRUE ROCKETS FAN, I root for players wearing a Rockets uniform.

Look at this way... If LeBron agrees to sign here contingent on us acquiring Anthony. You better believe Harden is done in Houston. Easy as that. We aren't dealing Harden to get Melo. We'd be doing it to get Lebron.

The implication is that they can key LBJ/Melo.

I don't like sending him to NO, but I doubt any of us thought Asik would fetch a potential lotto pick. I still don't see NO making the playoffs.

A lotto pick for a player who didn't want to be here is about as good as we could get. I think it's fair to say that exceeded everyone's expectations?
