If you score zero points on 12 attempts it really doesn’t matter if your good on defense. People forget Moute didn’t really even play in the playoffs, him leaving has about as big an impact as Ryan Anderson, not a lot. Settle down boys, Melo to Houston is happening, and it’s a good thing
What is the holdup here? Is OKC still trying to find a trade or is Melo still trying to make up his mind?
It really isn't, judge the off-season or even the full season in terms of deals at the trade deadline in Feb. We don't have a lot of cap room to sign FA so I feel like with the only lever is in a trade scenario. Morey wants to let the first half the season pan out and wait and see if a better deal comes along. I really am not as knee jerked as a lot of you, signing Melo would be a good business at MLE but I feel like Morey will only pounce when there is value and if it really helps the team. And let's face it, Luc didn't play a single significant minute in the playoff.
Now let's compare their offense against ours. Plus I would hardly day Green had OK defense. His defense is on par with Curry.
OKC thinks they'll find a trade then they'll try to shake Melo down for a couple mil in a buy out to prolong the process IMO.
I feel like the Rockets will have much more success attacking Curry then the Warriors will have going at Melo.
The thing is Iggy and Draymond Green are exceptional defenders, but he only downgraded them to 'good defenders'. Too simple.
man, this sucks, we just can't get a break, can we add a 3 and D wing, stop this Melo nonsense, this guy will never win anything, he relies on his athleticism (which is fading real fast) and has no Bball IQ, we came so close to beating GS and now we decided to go the other way......
If we get Melo and success happens ala Chris Paul arrival most of these doubters just like the media will flip the switch like they were down the whole time.

The only thing i would really hate, or, let's say don't like here, is not giving the MLE to another solid player just to give it to Melo, we should give him the minimum and get another player with the MLE. Bima made a good point on this in the cyberx thread yesterday though, giving the MLE to Melo give us a better chance to eventually resign him next season with the no-bird rights.
Melo doesn't need the MLE and I'd be upset if he took it unless he gave up a substantial amount to get the buy out from OKC done asap. If he gets his entire salary however just take the min so you guys can hold onto the MLE for a guy who gets bought out around August.
