Ok simmons how about you force yourself out and come here to Houston. We'll give Morey John Wall!

I'M DOWN WITH A LINE UP OF
    Harden-pg
    Eg-sg
    Sf/pg- simmons
    Tucker-pf
    Woods-c

I don't think FVV can be traded this year, but I would be okay with him and OGA plus fillers and a first round pick for JH. They aren't stars, but their cumulative effect would be equal to that of a steady and reliable star for years to come.

    Not ready to trade Harden.

And FVV + OG is not enough for Harden IMO, even if FVV was available to trade right now since he was just re-signed this season.

Neither am I, but I could have gone that route as a last resort, if it became inevitable to trade him. Fortunately for us, Harden is still participating with the team.

    Why do that?

    We could do

    Harden
    EG
    Simmons
    Tucker
    Woods

with Wall and Tobias Harris off the bench.

I think all it takes is Chris Clemons, don't you?

If Fred VanVleet re-signed prior to free agency he would be required to play the full season with the Raptors.
Or no trade clause and trade kicker that the player could technically waive.

But he went through free agency and signed with the Raptors. Meaning he can be traded probably some time
in Feb in this shortened season. At least that is my understanding.

We went through the same circumstances with Capela not too long ago.

Nobody is great with passive aggressive techniques, lol. I mean, maybe some are, to the extent they are jedi mind tricking folks and we don't even know they're being passive aggressive. But anytime someone is being passive aggressive, and its obvious, it's annoying af.

I shouldn't get involved in this.... BUT... Melo had a 12 PER last year in Portland. Sure, PER isn't everything, but of course the #1 place where it fails is defense, and Melo certainly wasn't great there. Other advanced stats tell the same story. He had a negative PER, negative BPMs across the board and his WS/48 was less than what it was in Houston and the lowest of his career by far.

People only think he did great because the media is fickle like that. They felt he was disrespected, then there was the possibility he'd never play again, and finally he got signed and lo and behold wasn't AWFUL and UNPLAYABLE... so "wow!! look at him!!" lol.

You could not get excited about Melo on my team under any scenario. I'd rather play Tate, Nwaba or any number of similar players across the league.

Sucks for James Harden that passive aggressiveness doesn't work on big ego tilman.
He rather send James Harden out the door rather then use more money than he has to.

    it is what it is.

Harden wants a ring at all cost, tilman pretends to want a ring at all cost.

I think salary matching would be the one and only problem with the Clemons flip?

Both are liars. Harden lies to the media.

    Tilman lies to the fans.

    Exactly.

But neither one is yielding, harden is somewhat doing it by acting engaged without saying he will commit.

Tilman gives no fk after extension was rejected he is prepared to send Hardens ass pronto.

No compromise, no attempt to fix the relationship. That's why I hate big ego individuals.

Houston franchise plague by them, BoB and Tilman.

Would speculate there was some sort of ultimatum, that Tilman was going to spend less and less if the team wasn't good enough to beat the Lakers, Warriors or Clippers soon.

And probably stop catering to Harden's extra needs outside of basketball.
