    I remember the year that JR killed his best friend since kid and then showed up in a Yankee game all smiling. I was really annoyed by that punk then.

    Got to ask, what did JR do to Woj? That was one blistering and personal editorial. And, is Woj not a fan of the Knicks? That last line about them deserving each other was pretty dagger-ish.

    When Woj was just starting his career, he wrote a book and was following J.R's school very carefully so he knows J.R more then most writer. He had high hopes for J.R I think and was hoping he changed. J.R gave Woj an interview on how he's a changed man after he killed his best friend and I guess Woj bought it and now feels betray by J.R's recent actions.

    Woj seems like a real in-the-moment kind of reporter.

    Pragmatically, the only good in writing a blistering column like that is getting page views over the next few days. But what freaking player is going to really open up to him after he does crap like this? "Oh sure, Mr. Woj. Let's schedule a few hours tomorrow. I'd be happy to talk." Um, no.

    J.R. opened up to Woj, more than once I believe, and now that conversation is just a big pile of ashes.

    I'm sure Woj is planning a career as a fiction writer after the NBA, because his pieces are always so sensational and rooted in his own opinion. He uses so many colourful words that I'm not sure if I'm reading an NBA article or a piece of creative writing from high shcool.

    Not to say his info isn't accurate and fascinating (seriously, JR smith ordered $3,000 worth of room service food just to mess around?), but it kind of gets in the way of the more fascinating tidbits Woj has on the insider track.

    Woj is a respected insider and news-breaker. Respected writer, he is not. He's a terrible sensationalist.
