Normally I'm objective about these things, but I'm very biased about this one. I wouldn't move Lowry. That guy's fire, intensity, and will is contagious. I love his game.

why do people want an ageing gasol.

he's going to come here and not be motivated to play.

it does not make us better for the future.

Lowry has the trade value of Iggy or Granger right about now.

He's not a superstar but he's someone that it's going to take a lot for the team to give up.

For the Lakers a Trio of Bynum/Kobe/Lowry is very enticing and I think would be a upgrade to their team IMO. Dragic is very good but he's not quite Lowry yet because Lowry has carried his team although Dragic just hasn't had the chance to yet.

Must say though as a NBA fan I wouldn't mind seeing this trade as a Rocket fan though I would not consider it. Pau is a bit older than Lowry so therefore it is a automatic no. Giving up Scola and Martin would be better since they are all around the same age.

We could throw in Budinger and the trade will still work.

He's not gonna talk bad like that. He just thanks his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for getting him out of Houston.

I would like the 2 1st round picks, but I definately don't want to be part of anything where the Lakers get Lowery.

more realistic would be dragic and martin to milwaukee and scola and jennings to lakers...we could prob get back that guy lakers drafted this year and give up our 1st rounder to miluakee.

    so main pieces would be

    lakers get jennings and scola
miluakee gets martin and dragic (1st rounder...maybe not?)
    houston gets pau

I have to admit, I like it but I doubt L.A. does a deal without getting a PG back.

    Lakers' Targets:

    Plan A: CP3 (Sterned)
    Plan B: D-Will
    Plan C: K-Low

No wonder why the Rockets and Lakers were so pissed at Stern. Now they can't seem to come up with a deal to acquire the players they've been wanting/needing.

Steve Nash is also on their list.

It would take a lot of the Lakers depth though and even still the Suns are not going to give their once franchise player and face of the team to a rival. Just like how the Jazz weren't going to trade us Dwill.

    You need to re-read again.

I said trading Kobe Bryant to acquire a PG would help Lakers more than trading Gasol.

Kobe can't be traded, but that doesn't mean it's not a bad idea.

A good number of clutchfans were against the nixed trade with the Hornets. Our rotAtion would've looked something like...

    Lowry/Lin/Flynn
    Clee/Bud
    Parsons/Morris
    Gasol/Patterson
    Nene/Chuck

To those who said we were giving a lot for Pau Gasol then, how much do you want to have this lineup instead now? Just curious. Again, it included Dragic but we would've signed Nene and re-signed Chuck. And there could've been some Linsanity in H-town.

Denver was Nene's first option. His wife's family lives there, with a newborn, and a bond with Karl from both being cancer survivors.

Let's say you could trade Kobe,

What point guard are you going to get that = Kobe Bryant?

    He better be ELITE!

You're going to keep Gasol and trade Kobe? WOW! I'd like to see this trade.

What are you going to sell to Laker fans after trading the guy that brought them 5 titles in 7 finals appearances?

Kobe is one the greatest players EVER, and still a top player today. If you're not talking Derrick Rose (Never going to happen) I don't know what PG you're talking about.
